  4. I am slightly frustrated simply because there's been some great discussion about time-based mechanics in the Suggestions forums that never really came to anything. I really feel like some of those ideas would greatly improve the game. As far as Squad acknowledging a change, I think, in this instance, actions speak just as loud as words. Personally, I'm still not convinced they've completely changed their stance on the subject yet.
  5. As we all know, the best time to drastically change something is right before a 1.0 release. I just hope this leads to other time-based mechanics. There's so many great games that take advantage of time, even with time warp. Life support, funds over time, rep decay. There's so many options to make the game part of KSP more interesting.

  8. I think the claw should be used for fuel transfer, but known glitches keep me from using it fully.
  9. Yeah. I just use KAS. All I know is, once I heard that the claw could transfer fuel, I tried to use it to solve ground based refueling problems. Bad things happened. edit: I'm also a believer that the stock solution needs to work in expected ways: including backing a rover into the claw. We can't expect new players to use mods.
  10. They have to fix the klaw, don't they? You can't tell me most players won't try to create refueling stations with the klaw as the transfer mechanism.
  11. Tweakables such as turn radius, torque, and suspension would all be nice. Also, the ability to bind torque to the throttle controls. Also, brake pressure.

  14. This thread reminded me that the stock way to refuel a landed ship will be the claw. I hope KAS updates quickly for 1.0.
  15. I agree. I started playing KSP because of the challenge. I was interested in space as a kid, but knew nothing about gravity turns or orbital mechanics. I had to learn to play. To say KSP is hard...I'm not sure that's right. It requires knowledge and patience. I'm also not a fan of the idea that "New Player Friendliness" means easy.
  16. I think it was meant to be a group effort. Throw enough people at even the most Mun-logic problems and you'd be surprised what can get done.
  17. I'm going to run through stock tutorials and career and try to collect my thoughts on the official release of KSP. Of course, I'll have an inherent bias being a long time player. Anyway, I'll probably post a blog here on the official forum. After that, I'll wait for mod updates.
  18. Tracking station organization has been suggested many times, including adding custom folders for personalized sorting. I'll support these suggestions every time they come up.
  19. I'm sure they do occasionally look at the forums and prominent members will eventually make an impression. Doesn't mean it can't get a little vexing to see all the great ideas in the Suggestion forums go unnoticed.
  20. I go through all the major / popular mods which have been released for said version and download them all. I have a massive collection for 0.24.2.
  21. Was about to link this. I think it's a good idea. Gives players more options.
