  1. I am a sandbox player. I understand that I will have access to high tier parts. In reality some things are simply better than others.
  2. Thank you for making awesome things! - - - Updated - - - No offense to Ferram, but I hope you are right.
  3. Ok. So, I found Asio4All drivers work best for latency with my setup. I run my instruments into a Behringer Xenyx 1202FX mixer which goes into a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 usb interface. As far as engineering, I'm using Ableton Live 9 Suite. Being as you're a beginner, you probably don't want to spend a grand on your setup. I'd look to see if the software you're using will recognize the Asio drivers. Also, you're going to need to make your usb interface the audio out. You'll still get latency from your PC out. - - - Updated - - - Rocksmith is a great learning tool as well. - - - Updated - - - I still haven't had my coffee. I need my coffee.
  4. This is the bane of my recording existence. Latency is a [redacted]. Once I'm more awake, I'll post my setup.
  5. Honestly, Squad should have put in a first person view a long time ago. Using the chase cam like this is a hacky way to recreate another feature you want in the game. This goes for using the chase cam for docking, as well. Having a docking indicator on the navball should be in 1.0.
  6. This is not a good excuse for basic technology being in the wrong place on the tech tree. Don't give excuses to poor design because there is a work around.
  7. People really need to read the thread title a bit better before responding. This is about adding aviation lights to stock. "There's a mod for that" is not an answer for parts or utilities which should be stock. Such as Kerbal Engineer. This discussion should be whether or not you agree if aviation lights are something that should be added to the stock game.
  8. How, exactly, would adding a near future jet engine higher up the tech tree screw up game balance?
  9. That is something you would expect, isn't it? We'll see. I'm still not convinced Squad's idea of "1.0" is the same as everyone else's.
  10. I'll see how the aero feels first and foremost. I'll definitely start up a career campaign, so I can give my final verdict on the game. I've got big problems with career at the moment. I'm interested to see what Squad deems worthy of a 1.0 release. I'll try to recreate some of my favorite bugs. Jump on a few ladders. See if the Kerbals still slide around. That sort of thing.
  11. I've done both, but for the most part, just direct burn.
  12. They were for an expansion to Spaceplane Plus that PorkJet was working on.
  13. I must admit, gaining rep has influenced me to attempt to make better posts.
  14. Graphic. Settings. - - - Updated - - - I actually do consider this game breaking for a 1.0 release. These things should not happen.
  15. What's it say about the current state of things that the community didn't immediately say "Squad would never do anything like this. I smell something fishy."
  16. This would require even a basic attempt at memory management from Squad.
  17. Life support in some manner needs to be stock. It represents a real world struggle in space travel and adds necessary time based mechanics which are very much missing from the game as is.
  18. Having a delta v readout on maneuvers but not for your craft is unacceptable for 1.0. Get it done, Squad.
  19. Make them realistic, but also give me some crazy future tech to support SSTOs. - - - Updated - - - I think I was able to get a basic Mk3 cargo plane off the ground with 6, but I was using wet wings for my fuel. - - - Updated - - - The biggest issue is there's still very little to do with a non-SSTO plane. We need reasons to actually traverse planets. I personally have set up polar bases that require life support resupplies.
