  1. I'm not sure what you mean? Agena is planned, there's a screenshot of the engine mock up on the previous page.
  2. Agena. The secondary engines and their mono fuel are going to be standalone units attached in 4x symmetry.
  3. Yeah I am unsure whether or not I want to finish it. I took about 30 mins to rough it out just to try it on. As I said, it's only because I am already adding 1.5m as a size for several things. On a side note, I don't really think I have any particular thing that I want the mod to be. It's more or less just things I make for KSP. If at some point it reaches some critical mass and people want it split up, that can certainly happen. But I don't want to say that BDB is just for LV's and probe parts.   4. Hey, hey! We still build some of our own stuff. The only important lifter I know of that uses Russian engines is the Atlas V. If you're thinking of doing Japanese rockets, some more 1.25m lifting SRBs in the vein of M-V would be cool.
  5. I'm sorry about that! Did you by any chance update late Wednesday / early Thursday morning? I changed the thread title, etc but then couldn't update the Kerbalstuff download! The Atlas V will be updated at some point. In the mean time, I took a short break from my animation homework to start making this. By the way... who here wants another Gemini? Cus I accidentally put some more time in to working on BDB... I was always a big fan of the Radish from HGR. Since Orionkermin is busy, I decided to try and attempt it. Basically, since I'm already adding 1.5m as a size for Thor, an MOL and some other stuff, I might as well have my own Gemini capsule. I plan on making it with a flat bottom, with a 1.5m heat shield with two nodes - one with a 1.25m adapter fairing, one with a 1.5m adapter fairing. Just experimenting. And I guess here's an old pic of the WIP Agena, so newcomers who have been asking for it have an idea of the direction it's going. The additional OMS system will be separate parts and there will be multiple configurations between all the parts in the mod. I am not sure how to make the fairing work. I think I'll just leave it to people to make an interstage with either stock fairings or PFairings. On that note, I am planning on making a small pack of textures for PFairings at some point, since it lacks good stockalike textures. More of them are meant to fit into the Realism Overhaul stuff which, while cool + fun, doesn't fit in stockalike saves.
  6. Stop, you're making me feel bad about planning to build a ton more US launchers But what other ones are there to do? Tantares took care of Black Prince / Europa, Black Arrow and Ariane V... You have Ariane 1... What more is there? Do they have any more proposed stuff?

  9. Something that's been eating at me. I figured I'd ask before I start trying to figure it out on my own and probably screw the math up. What are the stock ratios for volume of the fuel tank (diameter x height), dry mass, and the volume of fuel (ie amount of LF and oxidizer)? And for extra fun, price. I want to make sure my fuel tanks are balanced properly but I haven't worked out the numbers yet.

  11. C'est la UV mapping. If you have text, I would suggest placing the seams elsewhere. Otherwise, you can often get away with covering them up with panel seams - what better way to hide your UV edges than in plain sight! So (as I've learned) it's easy to overdue - using it sparingly.
  12. Yes. Granted, the engine is already there. But there is a need for a longer 1.25m tank in the early game anyways.
  13. Oh really? I didn't know GN did that; I don't have time to play much anymore That sounds really cool though! The Atlas parts are placed to try and give you a tier of 1.875m parts before 2.5m, and then eventually mature 1.875m rockets (Titan, etc) in the early 2.5m node. I may look into placing them back a bit. In all honesty the stock tech tree (which unfortunately I have to balance against) is fairly cramped in the early game - I would want it to be twice as big if I could, so that there was time to develop early rockets more. Eventually there will also be a tier of 1.5m rockets (Thor) in the node before Atlas, which should help some. Unless your concern was just wanting an Atlas/Mercury early, in which case I'm not sure what to do about that. It's hard to balance, well, balance, with historical progression. :3
  14. Do you need it to work on only certain planets? Otherwise I believe it defaults to working everywhere.

  18. Hmm. The problem is I wanted them to be useable as 1.25m engines. While I plan on including true 1.875m engines, the Atlas (and Centaur) components are meant to also be usable for 1.25m rockets (and eventually 1.5m I guess) Wait what?!? ERMEGHERD. That's awesome! Though it was my reddit post with the demo album, and not the mod itself Yeah, Thor and some other stuff will prolly be 1.5m (1.5625?)
  19. Lol maybe I should do it again some time. EDIT: Also I got roped into starting the next update... dern. I'm also working on another KSP project with someone that... I don't know. Y'all will probably hear about it at some point. What I'm trying to say is it looks like Fallout 4 won't take me away from KSP for as long as I thought.
  20. Yeah that's sort of the way I'm leaning. If it makes you feel any better, Venom has been working on a .9375m Ablestar-inspired upper stage. EDIT: Venom you should post pics I haven't seen it yet.
