Metallic ore is used in MKS for it's production path to rocket parts and is defined via the open resource system. Metal ore is EPL's version of sort of the same thing used in EPL's production chain to rocket parts.

Also has to be an engineer. Then re-read the manual, it is well written. -

More details? Are you holding X and getting the attach option? Have you read the users manual thoroughly? -

Help, RCS not working?
goldenpsp replied to goldenpsp's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
RCS ports are enabled. And I am down some RCS already so tanks were working. Although since it is the stock ship and not something I built maybe there is more than one RCS tank and the other one is disabled... Bingo. More than one monoprop tank and it was disabled. Lesson learned. When flying a craft you didnt make, double check you know how all the parts are setup so you don't end up looking like a noob on the forums. -
So I'm terribly confused. I was using the Stock Learstar shuttle to fly some supplies up to my LKO station. The flight went fine and I got into docking range and started working to dock. I had kept the external fuel tank connected since it had a fair amount of fuel left and I wanted to transfer that to the LKO station. things just weren't working as I had expected, until I realized that the only RCS ports that were working were the Vernor engines on the external fuel tank. None of the other RCS engines were firing. I know they had fired during launch as I was down about 50 monoprop, but in docking mode only the vernors would fire. I do have KIS installed so I EVA'd my engineer and removed all the Vernor engines, but the regular RCS engines still will not fire. Is there something special I need to do when there are both Verner and monoprop based engines on a craft?

Read the box carefully. At the top (at least on mine) it states the following mods MAY be incompatible. There is a big difference between MAY and IS. KSP cannot tell if any mode is truly incompatible. Only that it may have been compiled for a different version. -
Wow, whatever. I at no time made any determination of what I felt was "right" "wrong" or "insensitive to players" I was simply stating that I would imagine Squad uses a fairly strict rule of "will the save load" when determining if an update is save breaking. And I went on to explain I felt that was the case as it is the only objective test they can use. Any other "save breaking" test would be highly subjective and up to the interpretation of every KSP player out there. Anything extra that you put into those words was simply your bias reading more into what I wrote than was there.
-
Bah, I give up. It's impossible to try and talk on a subject when people keep moving the target.
-
Which is why you can really only use the "does the save load" as a hard rule for whether it is save breaking. Otherwise you get interpretations like this, which btw is not what I would consider being save breaking.
-
First off, where did I say anything about how "I" felt on the subject. It is a simple fact. They have to use some sort of definition of "save breaking". The only one that really works is the simple one that if you can load your save and it runs it isn't broken. Anything else would be subject to so much interpretation you would have tons of people saying the update "broke" their save.
-
Seems simple to me. If you can load your save then it isn't broken.

Title similar, thread contents not even close. All the 'stuff' going on in these forums just goes to prove the internet peanut gallery is alive and well. KSP is an awesome game (notice I didn't say perfect).

Well can't say I got that message after upgrading, so I was only going off what I had also seen since you had not specified what pop up you encountered. -

Parachute has been gone for awhile. -
That you like to spring new information that nobody knows on people further down the thread? (Since we don't know anything about your KSP pas) You are getting better at KSP? That maybe they forgot to adjust the Flea booster for 1.0.3? (it does seem more potent).
