[1.1.2] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) 1.2.12
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Apologies if this has been brought up, but I believe a bug has been found. It seems there is something amiss when dealing with a Command pod that also has KIS storage. When you have a craft with 2 command modules (say after docking) and use the KSP gui to transfer a kerbal from one command pod to another, the kerbals personal inventory wipes out the command pod's main inventory. Here is what I did to reproduce the issue. 1. Took a stock KSP installation. Added KIS and KAS. 2. Made a new part cfg based off the Mk1 lander can, and added 1000 KIS storage to it using ModuleKISInventory. 3. Made a basic setup with essentially the Lander can, probe core wheels and a KAS pipe end. I put various items into the kis inventory only. I drove one unmanned off the launchpad. I made a second craft with the same setup, except this time i put some different items in inventory just so I could tell teh difference. I also added Bill to this one. 4. I drove the second craft over to the first. EVA'd bill, grabbed a drill out of the lander can and equipped on bill. Connected the 2 crafts via the KAS pip. Got bill back into the command pod he had been in originally. 5. I then checked the inventory of both command pods to verify they had not changed. All looked good. 6. I then transferred bill to the other command module using the transfer button. 7. I then checked the KIS inventory again. This time the inventory of the command pod I had transferred bill to, only had bills Drill. All of the other items previously in inventory was gone. -
[1.1.2] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) 1.2.12

See the thing is I did both. I provided you plenty of useful information, namely exactly where to find the information you seek. And I did so in a way to highlight the idea that it is always good to spend a minute to read back a little if you have not been active in a thread as often you will find your answer and combat thread bloat. I'm sorry if you found that offensive.

[1.12.x] Freight Transport Technologies [v0.6.0]
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
You should read back a page. IIRC Roverdude hasn't gotten to updating FTT for the new CTT yet. -
[1.1.2] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) 1.2.12
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Dunno, haven't used struts yet, but the new KAS pipes do not stack for me. Although from looking at the config files the KAS parts "should" be stackable. hmm -

Only items that allow stacking will stack. IIRC the default is no. -
[1.1.2] Kerbal Attachment System (KAS) 0.5.8
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Also since you are still looking for a "grab" I would read the KIS tutorial as it is different from how KAS used to work. -
[1.1.2] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) 1.2.12
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
IIRC not really a bug. The seat inventory is thought of the Kerbals' "Pockets". Similar to how the seat inventory goes into the kerbals inventory automatically when you EVA -
Not sure if that is always true. There are some parts that seem to fit together, but like the HERP pod I don't know if there was any particular craft it was designed for. Anyhow a few videos using some of the parts Still my favorite. I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to make a science biome hopper based off this. It's not too hard except the size of the materials bay.

parts [1.12.x] Asteroid Recycling Technologies
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
ART is primarily for hollowing out asteroids to use for storage. I'm not positive but I'd say AMT is largely useless at this point. It was for mining asteroids, which is now something that is available in stock. -
The A-2 Masamune (Mun / Minmus SSTO)
goldenpsp replied to Prince of Rockets's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Yea I got nothing. I tried following the plan you replied and still cannot break mach. I took off and pitched up 40 deg. Slowly lowering my nose to keep acceleration up. at around 9-10k up I was at around 340m/s, but every time, even if I level off or attempt a dive I can not get my speed going. I can gain some speed if I dive but lose it all again once I try to level off. I am using stock aero if that makes a difference, not FAR -
I guess that's where the head scratching comes in, because this mod (CRP) doesn't really "do" anything. It contains no custom dll, and is just a bunch of config files that define additional resources. The config files pretty much match the stock config file for ore.

You are correct. I was getting confused with the parts. The MKS integrated base has mulch storage, which works well paired with the Pioneer module. IIRC Rover had mentioned expecting the use of an inflatable storage module with OKS stations hence the lack of integrated mulch storage for the OKS Pioneer module. That actually caused me a little sadness realizing I liked the old pioneer storage module that we used to have which held LS and LS waste in a nice compact package, that fit well for orbital and land bases. I honestly don't see a big issue, although I'm not as .... retentive nitpicky as some. If Kerbals really want to pack waste product into their ships at launch let them. The conversion rate back to food/fuel isn't great so its a pretty inefficient way to try and bring some extra supplies. Again, maybe cheap but pretty inefficient. you can also just pack on a small food container which gives you 100 more supplies. so the 100 mulch is only saving you about 750 funds. In terms of "balance" I hardly would consider it an issue.

[1.1.2] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) 1.2.12
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Same, Sometimes im not sure which i dislike more, the exploding bug or the falling through the ground never to be seen again bug. -
[1.1.2] Kerbal Attachment System (KAS) 0.5.8
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
known KSP issue. Dropped stuff exploded all the time under every version of KSP I've played via KAS as well. -
You are looking for the wrong part then. The pioneer module has mulch storage and is designed as an all in one, albeit less efficient solution. The other modules have never contained internal storage on purpose for balance reasons.

parts [1.12.x] Karbonite/Karbonite Plus (K+)
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Best to ask the CKAN folks. They maintain CKAN. -
parts [1.12.x] Karbonite/Karbonite Plus (K+)
goldenpsp replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I'm not sure about that sentence, but if I can guess what your asking is no, K+ still needs karbonite to function properly. -
The A-2 Masamune (Mun / Minmus SSTO)
goldenpsp replied to Prince of Rockets's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I'm sure I am a horrible pilot. but I am utterly failing with this craft. I am on 1.0.2 stock (not using far). I can get up to about 8000m, but flying even level I cannot get the plane to break 300m/s. Not sure if I am starting out too steeply or what. If I do a dive to pick up speed I just lose it again when i level out. -
I'll be honest, I have a hard time considering this mod to be an "alpha" as it is more feature complete than some finished mods. - - - Updated - - - No. the storage containers only hold supplies. To recycle you would use the Nom-O-Matic 5000, which is the greenhouse part. It has mulch storage and recycles back to supplies.

[1.1.2] Kerbal Inventory System (KIS) 1.2.12
goldenpsp replied to KospY's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
My question? No. But in cases where you really don't "need" seat storage you can at least make it less confusing rather than have people fill the seats only to lose the items later. -

Speaking of which is there any config override to supprress or disable seat inventory? -
