  1. misquote much? Posting errors is great. You didn't post any error tho. You just ranted that you have errors but no useful details to make your post well, useful.
  2. I did what I think others mentioned in this thread. I like career in the aspect of running some missions and trying to keep my rocket building within a budget. I'm tired of starting from scratch with unlocking all of the parts. I've already done all the stuff without all the best parts. So I hacked myself enough science to unlock the nodes. So I still needed to generate funds to fly and upgrade buildings.
  3. That was Rover being funny. You missed the explanation in the post I guess. Kerbals revolt and throw stuff out of the airlock if you go without Electrical power too long. If you intended to rant, well done. If you wish to be helpful, some detail would be useful. I've never noticed any missing components, and you give no details on how things are "breaking".
  4. This thread isn't that long yet, so it's beneficial to skim through. In fact 2 pages back post #315-316
  5. Except that it also isn't that complicated. You can already now use KIS for storage so that has you covered for storage even after the KAS update. As far as parts KospY has already stated he will include the old KAS parts so your existing crafts don't break.
  6. No. The boxes are depricated, use KIS. And yet, amazingly this mod works just fine if you install it and ignore the compatibility warning. So install it (and KIS for storage) and go to town. I've been using it a week.
  7. Shakes head.... Yes of course, which you would know if you spend even 30 sec in the KAS thread.
  8. Not sure if that will be true. KospY said he will include the old parts in the update as to not break crafts. So you should be able to fly out if you want and swap old KAS parts with the new ones that way. Or just keep the old parts until you are done with them.
  9. Um, You could just load it. The current version has been working 100% fine in 1.0.2 this entire time. I have been using it successfully. Sure you get the warning at startup, but it is just that, a warning.
  10. Likely because roverdude hasn't gotten around to it yet.
  11. Ok. I'll update my Git so I can do a proper pull. My sons Birthday party is in 30min so not till later tonight at the earliest.
  12. LOL I just uploaded one as well. But you were first and yours is better so you win. I just used a KAS pylon for now so I could make sure I was able to get in and ride away, but I like your workaround. https://youtu.be/80I2jdgXbhA BTW Rover in the process I adjusted the MKS/OKS parts to have proper KIS storage if you want those.
  13. You have lots of options. 1. use the standard EPL parts and resource workflow. nothing changes 2. Use MKS parts for making rocketparts, which is a different workflow. 3. Use a combination of both. The MKS parts with EPL build functionatlity do basically the same thing just look more MKS'ish
  14. I don't have the blizzy button at all in the VAB. Like the stock one you start with that you can then click to add icons and move it around. I'm guessing a likely toolbar issue rather than EPL. But in lieu of the toolbar I wasnt sure if there was a hotkey to toggle it off, or a config option to suppress the build resources window for now.
  15. I will see if I can do one in a bit after I get all these pesky client issues out of the way.
  16. One issue I have run into which I'm guessing may not be directly EPL, but I figured I would ask anyhow. I have installed the toolbar mod, but I am not getting the icon in the VAB/SPH. Therefore every time add a part I am getting the EPL build resource window pop up and I am unsure how to get it to go away. I assume EPL doesn't support the stock menu yet and I did not know if there was a hotkey to toggle it on and off in the VAB.
  17. What I have found so far is: 1. I can with enough practice I can assemble it without any .cfg modification. You can manually snap parts together. The wheels are difficult though 2. By adding the following code to the chassis cfg files I can snap the wheels perfectly onto the chassis. MODULE { name = ModuleKISPartMount sndStorePath = KIS/Sounds/containerMount allowRelease = true MOUNT { attachNode = wheel01 allowedPartName= PackRat_MiniWheel } MOUNT { attachNode = wheel02 allowedPartName= PackRat_MiniWheel } } 3. When I try similar code to say, snap the front chassis to the back, it "works" in that it attaches at the correct nodes, but the parts are not oriented correctly. For example with the chassis it makes it like the back chassis is folded over the front. I don't understand enough about cfg files to adjust that. The wheels have been the only problematic part for me to assemble however so it hasn't been a huge problem so far. 4. using the KIS pylon has been the biggest trouble. Trying to assemble the packrat without a pylon has generally met with parts being dropped and exploding. The problem with the KIS pylon (which I have asked in the KIS thread) is that you cannot seem to simply remove it like you could with the old KAS pylon. This has left me with a pretty packrat completely anchored to the ground on top of the pylon.
  18. So I have a question. I'm not sure if this will work as it used to. In the past with KAS I could use a ground pylon to then assemble something, such as a Rover. At the end the pylon could then be picked up and removed. I was trying this with the KIS pylon (concrete base) and while I could build on it like before, I was unable to grab or detach it at the end. When I attempted to grab it I would get an error that I could not because something was attached to it. Is there a method to make this work?
  19. Like I had said, I can "almost" assemble it without any modification. I probably could if I kept trying but the wheels in particular are annoyingly difficult. So I am trying something different. Man I am so close. If I only understood part orientation I think I could make it all snap together like with KAS. I can assemble the frame manually and snap attach the wheels which is pretty slick.
  20. Really? I had some thoughts to try. I was "almost" able to assemble one via KIS without any modification. The wheels were being difficult but i got the entire frame assembled.
  21. So Rover, I thought I would ask first before I got started. I was bored and missed my KAS'able Packrat. So I was gonna mess around with the KAS/KIS config stuff and see if I can make it KIS'able in an easy way. But I wanted to make sure you hadn't already taken care of this. I was kinda figuring with so much on your plate that this was likely pretty far down the todo list. I haven't done much with KSP modding but this seemed like a fun way to get my feet wet.
  22. True but he had MKS installed as well. Sorry just being thorough, trying to help.
  23. Just to clarify since it cuts off, but there should also be a 000_USITools and CommunityResourcePack folder up at the top of gamedata right?
