  1. Does this work now? And does it also work with RO and RSS? I get a lot of thruster gimballing on my ascents. Switching to stock SAS helps though. Is the FAR module involved in this?
  2. I think this is supposed to be in the Realism Overhaul Mod thread, not in the Craft Repository. I already mentioned this bug with SRBs there yesterday.
  3. Sounds perfectly reasonable to me! I just saw that the "EAS-4 Strut Connector Medium" (a KW part( is labeled with a strength of 42000 whereas the "EAS-4 Strut Connector" has 150. I thought the difference was pretty high. But maybe it is right this way. And after all you're still right when you say that they are fine the way they are. Thanks!
  4. Are the struts (squad and KW) intended as they are or will there be tweaking? Thank you for the great work you're doing!
  5. I really wished this would work for me! But symmetry stops it from working and there are some other quirks. Looking forward to a fixed version, thank you already!
  6. Yes, if using sensible pump this seems to be causing issues (the LES stops firing when I try to jettison it). But sensible pumps can of course be disabled for the part in VAB manually. What I wrote about the missing flame / fire / engine visuals on the LES also applies to the other engines. No flames at all for me. Also the interstage adapter seems to create some wobble on my rocket but I'm still investigating it.
  7. RealFuels support for this would be great!
  8. The RCS thrusters (Staedler RV-XXX) are inverted in their size. The mass is still as the name implies (1/2 or 1/4) but the size is the other way around: the 1/4 sie is actually four times the size of the normal one. Also changing the configuration and the Tech Level doesn't show immediately , only when I right-click again.
  9. Heads-up: KSP-AVC doesn't recognize the update, thinks that 0.9.17 is still installed.
  10. I mean the two 4-engines clusters made by KW. Without RFftS but with Realism Overhaul they are called Rocketdyne F-1 and J-2. With RftS on top their scaling seemed extreme compared to the other engines (waaaay bigger).
  11. Is this still needed in the 24.2 release?
  12. Is this the FASA Apollo capsule? This looks interesting! Could you describe the pattern you're using for your COMsat network? (I'm just starting with Realism Overhaul and this looks more complex than the simple three satellite network I'm used to from stock kerbin) Is the spinning purely "for effects" or is it needed (the probe looks so symmetrical)? Did you use a tool to calculate the RCS fuels needed? I wouldn't have thought that they would be sufficient for the circularization… Are the solar panels from the Near Future packs or from NovaPunch? Or AIES? Thanks for sharing!
  13. RealChutes was updated and now comes with MM-files inside. I guess we should now delete them? Thank you!
  14. I'm using FAR. Could this make a difference? Will make more tests. Thank you! I'm sorry, I still can't replicate the intended behavior. My setup: - Mk1-2 pod with LEW/ Offset directly attached - Mk1-2 pod with LEW/ Offset directly attached on docking port - Mk1-2 pod with Haetshield and LEW/ Offset directly attached The result stays the same. 15. Awesome! Might be a nice thing I think! And one more annoying mod proposal (if it wasn't mentioned earlier): http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/37138-Wolf-Aerospace-Perfectrons-L-E-S-Pack Nice LES and separator motors.
  16. This is a great idea! @ninjaweasel: What are those blue tanks? Are they ProceduralParts or another mod?
  17. But is this with Realism Overhaul installed? Because the pod doesn't look like it is being scaled. Maybe this is something Realism Overhaul would have to adapt then?
  18. I just tried this (RO with RSS and DRE): Mk1-2 pod with 4m DRE Heatshield for Mk1-2 pod. Escape Tower W/Offset thrust mounted directly to the top. Nothing else mounted to the pod. The pod starts tumbling really fast and out of control. The stock SAS produced a similar result (although the tumbling and the direction of the flight are opposite). The Aerojet Kerbodyne LES (the two-part one for the mk1-pod) works as expected with the pod (the bigger one does not).
  19. I don't see any flames / heat / whatever kind of visuals when I fire the LAS. It works but there are no visuals. The LAS also is missing an "allowShutdown" attribute: #17
  20. Something else I realized which I'm also not sure if it's Realism Overhaul or something else: Using the EADS Astrium EAP-241A (overhaul of a KW booster) the thrust seems to be way too little. I used the engine made for the ariane, payload only was a Mk1-2 pod. Kerbal Engineer shows TWS of 2.01 (for engine + boosters), on the launchpad I only get around 8 until fuel starts to become less. Also the boosters don't stop burning. They stop to produce thrust but the animation never stops. On right-click they show some fuel left which will not become less. When I decouple them they will fly away accelerating… EDIT: I just observed this behavior on the United Technologies UA-1207 as well. The last 15xx units of fuel will only be used as soon as the booster is decoupled. Before that it stopped to produce thrust but the animation (flames) still plays. Also the thrust seemed a little low to me. EDIT2: The animation won't stop even when the fuel is depleted. If anyone could confirm if this was RealismOverhaul related or not that would be great! Thank you
  21. Had this problem with the LAS by Aerojet Kerbodyne. Maybe it's a missing "allowShutdown" then, thank you!
  22. How about including this mod (or something like it)? http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/82972-0-24-Sensible-Pumps-v1-1-solving-an-annoying-problem-of-range-safety-18-Jul?p=1332447#post1332447
