Frozen_Heart replied to UomoCapra's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Ok i'm probably being dippy, but how do people get the dV to show up during manoeuvres? It still has the same info as before to me.- 388 replies

How about a 1.875 SRB?
Frozen_Heart replied to KeranoKerman's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Why not both? -
How about a 1.875 SRB?
Frozen_Heart replied to KeranoKerman's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
That booster size would also be perfect for KSP space shuttles as well. -
a new idea on the expense of heating
Frozen_Heart replied to Danya333's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Heat used to be a noticeable problem and we had no radiator parts to solve the issue either. Then they added radiators and at the same time made heating basically not a thing in game, removing the purpose for the part they added in the same patch. -
Yeah intermittent is one word for it. Last one was in March.

Do you think we should have KSP weeklies still
Frozen_Heart replied to Cheif Operations Director's topic in Kerbal Network
Not going to votes without a depends option. If there is fewer but higher quality news updates, then sure axe the weeklies. If they use it as an excuse to never release news, then i'd rather they stay. -
Making Future DLC Idea
Frozen_Heart replied to Cheif Operations Director's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
It makes sense to do eventually, but there are other DLCs i'd like to see first: Next one IMO should provide parts to Make ISS and similar station (and let them double as planetary base parts ) Also included should be the shuttle 1.875m SRBs and its OMS engines. Life support could also be an optional feature. Also at some point (maybe in a free update alongside the DLC) the parts to make the Soyuz spacecraft should be added. People are so excited for potential things to add like the BFR, they're forgetting one of the longest and most important eras of spaceflight. -
Propellers Please?
Frozen_Heart replied to James M's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
A lot of people still think that adding the SPH, wings, and airbreathing engines was a mistake. I see the opinion on a regular basis. Personally I see space exploration as more than just going into space itself. The goal is to get to other planets and explore them. Things like wheels and propellers help with that task. -
Propellers Please?
Frozen_Heart replied to James M's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Stock props, and actual bearings for other uses would have to be different parts. Yes in an ideal world they shouldn't be, but the physics engine would just collapse trying to spin separate parts at those speeds. -
Propellers Please?
Frozen_Heart replied to James M's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Would love to see propellers. They would be perfect for aircraft exploring planets with an atmo. Making a Duna drone like the concepts would be great fun. Maybe tweakable to toggle between electric powered and LF/Intake air powered in the VAB/SPH. -
Building the Future, logical next DLC?
Frozen_Heart replied to NSEP's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
IMO the next logical step for a parts expansion is parts to make Soyuz, STS, and the ISS. It could double as a bases and life support pack. If you go straight from Apollo to BFR you've missed almost the entirety of human spaceflight. -
totm nov 2023 SpaceX Discussion Thread
Frozen_Heart replied to Skylon's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Maybe the BFR ones are true sea level engines, while the BFS engines which got shown are 'intermediate' engines to allow more to fit on compared to if they were vacuum versions? -

What you not a fan of constantly trying to juggle BFR, BFS, ITS, MCT, and god knows what else? -
The First SLS Launch- To Man, Or Not To Man?
Frozen_Heart replied to NASAFanboy's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Forgot it was going to be launched in 2017. December 2019 atm and I really can't see it hitting that target. -
Now Making History is out is Multiplayer next?
Frozen_Heart replied to sysigy's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Yes I'd love multiplayer. No it isn't going to happen. -

totm june 2018 Work-in-Progress [WIP] Design Thread
Frozen_Heart replied to GusTurbo's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Making another capital ship but it's turning out a failure. Hardly any dV and a bad TWR while it's at it. Looks pretty though: -
Vector. Has nice gimbal, reasonably efficient, 1.25m form factor, and absurdly high thrust.
-
I've been having the same problem since 1.3. Two craft trying to dock into each other at 0.5m/s and they will both go spinning off at high speed. Sometimes it does it sometimes it doesn't. It's not even a consistent craft which is doing it.

Can't unsee. -
So what's the next DLC going to be about?
Frozen_Heart replied to Gorman's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Well if they continue with the history theme the obvious route is parts for Space Stations (ISS), Soyuz, and 1.875m Shuttle SRBs.
