[Min KSP: 1.12.2] Pathfinder - Space Camping & Geoscience
DMSP replied to Angelo Kerman's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Alright, I kinda guessed, and I have everything I need (it seems). My power generation will come from Solar Panels and from two RTGs. I can print some more once I am on the ground. Thank you!- 3,523 replies

South-West Launch Site - Kerbal Konstructs Content
DMSP replied to Beale's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Awesome! I do feel like it needs an airstrip though before I start playing with it. If you can't safely land a plane there I can't use it in my story, not yet. It looks brilliant though, great work! This is an incredible mod! -
[Min KSP: 1.12.2] Pathfinder - Space Camping & Geoscience
DMSP replied to Angelo Kerman's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I have a question, @Angel-125. Let's say I wanted to create a self sustaining colony with OSE Workshop installed on Eve. I can of course expand with OSE but some stuff I have to get there in the beginning. What modules would be necessary for this? And how many of each? Thanks!- 3,523 replies

I love seeing how the story and characters develop. I'm really interested to see what 'colors' some of the other Kerbal's voices will be.

Well, I just want to say that I have started updating the following craft on KerbalX to Stock KSP. My Base Package is going to be reworked, with a launch vehicle and tug. Rovmat-1 will be turned into Rovmat-2 and made stock. The Laythe Lander (up on this page) is going to be made stock, and so is the TEMSTAR Block. I can do the TEMSTAR block by tomorrow. It needs a few tweaks before I release it.

Ok, I got it out. The .rar file doesn't work for me (unfortunately) but I was able to extract the ZIP. Thank you!

Hi, I have an issue @Enceos. When I try to download Asphalt Tiles, it downloads, but when I click on the ZIP file to open it an "ERROR" message comes up with this: "error 20-Not a Directory" Do you have an idea what is going on? Those Asphalt Tiles really are cool.

Yeah. It would work best with KerbinSide or if there was some sort of expedition. It might be useful on Laythe. Yes, having four spread out would work well. In reality though, as long as you have 2 communications rings chances are you will never loose coverage.

South-West Launch Site - Kerbal Konstructs Content
DMSP replied to Beale's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
This looks so interesting! Will you add a dirt Runway similar to the tier 1 at the KSC? -
This looks really cool! So you can choose where to build these towns!? Is so, that would be great for my story!

Hi, DMSP here with something I just randomly made. With a communications network of some sort coming in 1.2, I was wondering if a Molniya type orbit would be useful. Here's an idea I had so far, 3 Sats in an "Apethellia" Orbit. Do you see the idea? I think it might have potential. With only three satellites, there's a blackout every 6 hours at a non-servicable spot. But who cares, I only had time to put up three. Thanks for reading!

Chatper 20-The Flyby. Val was tense. One mistake, and the tanker would go tumbling, jeopardizing the mission. But today in LKO, that was not going to happen. Val slowly ad carefully brought the Munar Flyby Spacecraft to dock with the Munar Transfer Tug. A small celebration broke out at the KSC. They were ready to fly around the Mun. "Bob". Val said. "Yes Val"? He responded. Val thought for a moment. "Do you like trying to spot and name settlements down there? Or trying to name countries and find them"? "No, why"? He asked. "I have tried for the past few times. I can't do it. It's a bit of a unifying experience". "Yeah, we're one Kerbin. Sometimes I feel like the politicians in fancy suits forget that". "I agree with you to the Mun and back. Speaking of Mun and back, lets go"! The Munar Flyby Spacecraft shot off towards the Mun. What a time to be alive! The Mun slowly started creeping up on the crew. Bob swore it grew closer every time he looked. With the final maneuvers plotted, the Munar Flyby Spacecraft entered the Mun's SOI. Trying to get as much science as they could, they activated their Gravity scanners, Mineral Deposit scanners and Ice scanners. What would happen next was incredible. They would be the first Kerbals that would not physically be able to see Kerbin no matter how hard they looked. Ok, ok. A tiny bit of Kerbin's north pole was sticking out, but that doesn't count. Within an hour, they were leaving the Mun behind. They would be back. They slipped into Kerbin's grasp. "That was awesome"! Yelled Val. Hours later, the Munar Transfer Tug's engine ignited for a burn to depletion. Once that was over, the Tug was separated. It would burn up in the atmosphere soon. Val then ignited the RCS and made an inclination change to get as close to the KSC as possible. Soon they were flying over the ice capped desert mountains. It was really one view. With the mountains falling into the background, plasma began forming. The heatsheild was getting burnt so the two inside weren't. Still a better love story than Twilight (sorry not sorry). The spacecraft soon began its descent to the surface. It had fallen a couple dozen kilometers short of the KSC. But that didn't matter much now. The drag chutes then deployed. And they looked outside at the fresh green grass. What a mission. They touched down on a slope about 90 km from the space center. The heatsheild was separated and that was that. The Mun was now a serious target. And Kerbals would be back there. They would stand on the surface and look up at home, wondering about the universe. That was the goal. Go to the Mun and stand on it.

Long-term Laythe Mission (pic heavy) - ^_^ With Part 45 ^_^
DMSP replied to Brotoro's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
YES! It's back! My prayers have been heard! This is incredible. But it's also a bit sad to see how 1.1 wrecked all that stuff. I would say retreat to Laythe Station (if possible) and set up a new base somewhere flat. The poles are promising, but I also think there are a few sites at the equator. If not, I wish you luck. -

SpaceY Inc. - Raptor 9 v2.0 testing underway! (Submit a payload)
DMSP replied to Kerbiter's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Alright, here are some payloads! They are built in 1.1 but should work in 1.0.5. https://www.dropbox.com/home?preview=CubeComms+with+Interplanetary+Cube.craft and https://www.dropbox.com/home?preview=Eve+Impactor+with+Cubesats.craft Tell me if the links don't work. Happy flying!- 118 replies

[1.2] LK-1 Duna Lander! Go to Duna like a true communist!
DMSP replied to DMSP's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Thank you, I appreciate that. I hope he feels the same. That is what I was originally thinking, but I wasn't entirely sure how I could get it to safely land. Also the extra parachute really packs a punch during the descent. Thanks for checking this out, it means a lot! DMSP -
New and Updated for 1.2.2! Hi all. I'd first off like to thank @Mulbin for inspiring this and designing it in the first place. Although I made it from scratch, I don't think I could have ever came up with this creation without him. In version 0.19, Mulbin made a Duna rated LK spacecraft. Versions passed, Mulbin's activity declined, and then the link to download it went bust. When 1.1 came out, I decided to breath new life into this long vanished spacecraft. So I built this from scratch So here it is. A Duna LK lander, a LOK Orbiting Spacecraft and a Micro Buggy thrown in on top. You can download the craft at KerbalX, here. A few notes: -Your pilot will be in the wrong capsule on liftoff. Transfer him and/or set control to the top capsule. -Try to Aerobrake, at least a bit, at Duna. Warning: Do not go lower than 28,000 Meters, you might blow the Nukes. -Yes, the rover is supposed to land separately. Just make sure it doesn't crash into the lander. -When departing Duna, you can use the Arrival Stage to give a kick or what is left in the lander. Your choice. You might have to use a bit of monopropellant to get back. -Don't bother with slowing down, the heatsheild can take the reentry. Just get the angle right. Mission Video: Ok, that's all, enjoy flying!
