Okay, this is getting strange at least to me. I tried to use the pre-deprecated Sargas docking mechanism part from earlier version, which puts these files at the old parts/FGB-TUG folder. Edit: I used version 20 and a clean GameData folder, yet it does not load citing the below: [LOG 22:19:53.403] PartLoader: Compiling Part 'Tantares/parts/FGB-TUG/_sargas_docking_mechanism_s1p5_1/sargas_docking_mechanism_s1p5_1' [ERR 22:19:53.405] PartCompiler: Cannot clone model 'Tantares/Parts/FGB-TUG/sargas_docking_mechanism_s1p5_1' as model does not exist [ERR 22:19:53.405] PartCompiler: Model was not compiled correctly [ERR 22:19:53.406] PartCompiler: Cannot compile model [ERR 22:19:53.406] PartCompiler: Cannot compile part [LOG 22:19:53.407] PartLoader: Compiling Part 'Tantares/parts/FGB-TUG/_sargas_docking_mechanism_s1p5_2/sargas_docking_mechanism_s1p5_2' [ERR 22:19:53.408] PartCompiler: Cannot clone model 'Tantares/Parts/FGB-TUG/sargas_docking_mechanism_s1p5_2' as model does not exist [ERR 22:19:53.408] PartCompiler: Model was not compiled correctly [ERR 22:19:53.409] PartCompiler: Cannot compile model [ERR 22:19:53.410] PartCompiler: Cannot compile part This is very odd to me, as I copied these from versions where it worked. Does my latest KSP version handling wrong these two files?

Nah, don't do that. The game in most cases seem to change . --> _ so it won't change a thing - even could mess up further.

To my understanding all of these parts are deprecated ones and they seem to have the same issue as the one I mentioned above and @Beale's suspicion is that these old parts have misplaced models and that is what's causing them not to appear ingame.

First, thank you for your continoued work on Tantares! Secondly, the parts in the deprecated folders do not seem to be loading (and cause some old ships of mine to be not loaded). I tried to restore the textures files and the localisation entries, however the problems persist. Here is an example entry from the log for the old Sargas Docking Port (side question, does this part has a newer version or it was eliminated entirely?): [ERR 04:16:48.656] PartCompiler: Cannot compile part [LOG 04:16:48.656] PartLoader: Compiling Part 'Tantares/parts/z_deprecated_4/_sargas_docking_mechanism_s1p5_1/sargas_docking_mechanism_s1p5_1' [ERR 04:16:48.666] PartLoader: Encountered exception during compilation. Actually they can be found in \Tantares\Parts\SOYUZ\DEPRECATED _soyuz_habitation_2 _soyuz_orbital_2 Edit: so they show up easily if I tweak it a little bit, but the textures are sadly very basic:

Big thumbs up for everything you have done. Personally speaking this was the second part mod that I installed years ago and liked it very much since. Also this is the single part mod that I kept using since the beginning. For sure, I would not have spent all these hours in KSP without Tantares. @Beale you should also know that amongst the sea of KSP mods, very few reach the point of maturity that Tantares has reached and even fewer can be considered finished. While a lot of us are kind of mourning over the end of Tantares, we should be celebrating the completion of one of the greatest mod. I hope you enjoy it! As a side note, my USI Life Support patch for Tantares seems to work well. I don't know if you are going to incorporate it or not, but I hope others will find it useful.

[1.9.x, 1.10.x, 1.11.x, 1.12.x] Kerbal Space Transport System
bokrif replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
First of all, this is one of the best mods! Awesome that I don't have to launch the same rocket one more time after numerous times. It make things a easier and quicker which is a good thing when you don't have all the time in the world for KSP. Thank you! Most of these are detailed in the mod menu. In short when you are at the KSC view, open the mod menu and then you will have options for deploy and transfer missions. Build just a satellite in VAB, save it, go back to KSC. Open deploy missions, first you need to choose the payload, so choose the satellite, then you can choose the lifter that you recorded, start mission or deploy (I can't remember the exact wording), then it will do a countdown. Probably you will need to wait it out / warp it while still at the KSC. When the countdown is finished, you will get an ingame green notification text that your vehicle is in orbit. Switch to map view, select the new vessel, and ta-daa your satellite is in the requested orbit. You can even deploy it to pretty close to a reference vessel, such as a station, to skip the randezvous thing. When you are deploying a vessel that has potential payloads and crew, you can select these during the deploy menu. Transfer is different, that there will be no craft put magically on orbit, just the previously defined amount of resources will be added to the selected orbiting vessel. Probably you can transfer crew as well, but I haven't tried it because then I will need to separately send up a return vehicle too (maybe by deploying them). And you cannot order a mission from map menu, only in KSC IRRC. Also if you ordered a deploy or transfer mission, these won't be completed while you are in the map menu or is vessel view. You have to switch back to KSC. -
I just made this as a way to say thank you for your work. Sorry for the mouse pointer, that was me being amateur with recording.

Happy new year to everyone! I would like to update the USI LF patch of @GJdude but I find it difficult to navigate along the file names/part names/titles... @Beale do you have any kind of list or spreadsheet where you keep track of these? Or anybody else? By the way, looking through just the english localisation file and checking all the names you can see how much work was put into this great mod! Thanks again!

I downloaded the latest from the github, but it seems some of the parts have misplaced textures and names. I know it is not a stable release, just giving a hint.

weird pink square keeps appearing
bokrif replied to Mercyfon's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
The pink square is still there after the removal of PlanetShine. I verified with the steam the game files as well. -
Okay, it solved itself. I reinstalled the previous version through CKAN, than played, now I updated to the latest and it loads up.
