1. Heh, the only other game (that I remember seeing) PC Gamer rated higher than that was Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri at 98%. Either way, congrats Squad!
2. I can confirm that was the case for 0.90, but haven't yet tried in 1.0. I suspect it's the same.
3. Princess Peach elegantly berated Tony's idealistic ablation. jegdhc
4. It isn't something I would have added (Were it my choice) but I use it regardless. Except for surface driving, where I like to keep the camera dead center behind the rover.
5. Okay, so one time, two years ago, they said they will include Multiplayer. I suppose they should have used more discretion, but it's their game, their decision. Do you hold 100% to everything you said two years ago? I personally can't recall anything I even said two years ago. The point is: things change. Some features get pushed to the top and some to the bottom. I'm sure they're sorry MP isn't released yet, but I'm also sure there's plenty more to work on before turning to that.
6. Gold-star attitude right there. If you want help, try being a little more pleasant. Or at least, less hostile. You might be surprised.
7. I had a piece of debris pass within a few dozen meters of a station before. Possibly happened more than once, but I only noticed it one time. Never collided with anything (that I wasn't intending on docking with) though.
8. Bill (if I'm not mistaken) is an Engineer, and therefore learns skills separate from Pilots. Only Pilots can lend their skills to the SAS. Valentina is also a pilot, so try putting her in the plane and see what happens.
9. Okay, well you could do a crash landing below 80m/s with proper use of structural plates / I-beams, but I'd be surprised if anything survived more than that. Maybe layers of structural plates with I-beams vertically stacked between them? Edit: I was also hoping this would be a "try to make the Ranger from Interstellar" challenge. Oh well.
10. It seems a little silly if it requires rover wheels, but doesn't specify that you need rover wheels. If it's not a bug, then it's definitely misleading...
11. Been on a 70s/80s binge lately. Lots of Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, ELO, etc.
12. As someone who has worked in QA, I can say that it's nearly impossible to catch every bug that could happen. QA's only have so much time, and often (at least for the company I worked for; Squad may be different) they have very specific areas they are testing, and time restraints may cause some areas to be gone over less thoroughly than others. Unless they hire a thousand QA specialists, some stuff will fall through the cracks. It's up to us as the community to find what they missed and inform Sqaud in an appropriate manner. That said, the 1.0 release is very stable for what it is. I've only encountered a few minor bugs myself, but really not to react about.
13. Here's his pic (lifted from link in OP)
14. Yes. As a hood ornament. In all seriousness, though, I've never put it on anything else, or even tested it out. Not my style.
15. There is also a small button on you altimeter (top center), which enables/disables brakes. It is below the lights and the landing gear buttons. If it is lit up, the brakes are on, and vice versa.
16. So basically a Tourist ship always needs a probe core (or a pilot)? Noted.
17. Whenever I read something in the false correlation theme, I think of this site: http://www.tylervigen.com/ (aka Spurious Correlations)
18. "I observed," Kyle exclaimed, "Quixote saving another zebra!" emcndek
19. People rarely perish under Bob's mansion. mebdmdk
20. I used this one, it's pretty detailed: Code for it:
21. Smaller doesn't have to mean slower... just means more pit-stops The rover I've been working for my next (potential) attempt cruises at about 78m/s on water... basically as fast as Starwhip's goes. But it runs out of fuel much quicker haha I've also considered modifying the .cfg for the Ruggedized wheels so they can get up to 120m/s without popping. Haven't gotten to it yet tho...
22. What I've done is -Place Sepratrons on top of the boosters at a 45 degree angle. -Drain 90% of Sepratron fuel This will give the top of the booster a kick away from the main engine, but not so much that the bottom strikes it instead. Oooor wait for 1.0
23. Agreed. Plus there's something kinda funny about the first Kerbal in orbit getting there in a spaceplane
