  1. I see a lot of people complaining about the exploitability of parts during re-entry and I researched while building a high speed plane that most parts have heat tolerances better than the titanium alloys used on ultra high speed aircraft and fairings are absolute wizardry to poor humanity.
  2. At the moment I have just wacked a full orange tank in there. This is a scale and not rigorously exact because I want it to work well for anybody. A big red seems a decent payload for that purpose. The OMS is using thuds.
  3. STS Integration testing progressing, had to abandon the first boosters and resort to some simpler ones, even these have become un-symmetried so I will have to do them again. It works OK now, it's not a hit spacebar and forget ascent, it gets a bit squrrely at times, Mechjeb can also do it for those who don't like messin with the bronco. It's still a really nice and easy re-entry though. No landing this time I overshot the KSC, was testing circularising and de-orbiting on the OMS alone, which works OK.
  4. Eve does play well with scatterer and if you want to use the latest scatterer then its almost the only one without a lot of config file editing.
  5. I did, I even have real ET texture to put on it after for some filming
  6. I hardly know what game I am playing these days, so beautiful STS Testing continues, she's a Mk3 scale shuttle replica, handles beautifully in orbital manoeuvres and re-entry, tank and booster integration testing now, I am using @sgt_flyer's compound boosters and fairings, all to full mk3 scale. If she fly's to orbit as well as she handles now she might almost be my best work.
  7. I can't replicate the smooth lines of the Dream Chaser, but I think I improved it a bit Download It can deorbit and re-enter, again I have not built a launcher, but an Atlas and Centaur shouldn't be that hard?
  8. Is there some way to tie the ship up, or just docking ports at water line
  9. Me too, I keep loading up craft, I have not finished the video yet, it's hard to put off
  10. I think he is actually talking about this That was the thread he was commenting in anyway.
  11. I really appreciate the mention MRS and you being able to put this up, I would not have had any spare time till about 12 hours from now.
  12. Checking out some quick KerbPaint stuff, looking good, with the fairing texture switcher this might make a nice shot, the SRB's look a little dinky though
  13. http://www.seattlepi.com/local/science/article/Boeing-rolls-out-new-unmanned-autonomous-6882408.php
  14. I'm guessing it got missed again? calling @SpaceplaneAddict are you receiving!
  15. This is exactly what I am thinking without the tube. You would not need to calculate force transfer through the connection above the ship is moving at more than .2ms or something then the connection is severed.
