In my opinion, KSP is more like Playmobil than Lego. Everything in Lego is part of the same idea, and everything kind of works together. With Playmobil, there's an element of modularity but you still want to use certain parts with certain other parts. E.g. you don't put a RoveMax M3 on a moon buggy.

Dude. Calm down. Also, stop using "We." As evidenced by this thread and others, the community is by no means united in their opposition of the forum. Don't imply that we all agree with you. I certainly don't. Wut? Is that permanent, or just temporarily messing with "view source?"

I understand most of it, but only because most of it was "we removed this deprecated thing." One thing that did catch my eye is the addition of support for the Metal graphics API. That might lead to some major graphical performance gains on Macs. (Most new Macs use integrated chip graphics, so graphics performance is important.) (Metal, for those of you who don't know, is Apple's new graphics API that allows graphical calculations to be performed much more effieciently.)

Looks like they are a factor of post count. Essentially like the rep bars from VBulletin, but for posts. EDIT: And, on the subject of posts, that one was my 600th! Yay!

So many car analogies. I am guilty of contributing to this, though -

Actually, I've experienced that too. It's rather annoying, especially when you type out a response, say, and don't end up posting it. Then you come back, try to respond to a different post, and it borks. I don't have multi-quote on. -
KSP1 Computer Building/Buying Megathread

Does the case make a difference? EDIT: Oh, never mind, I'm a stupid. That's an ATX motherboard. EDIT 2: Holy cow, you are good. It rang up at exactly $799.95 after rebate. -

What does that stand for exactly? -
BTW, at the back of the book you will find a poster featuring a blueprint of a Sky Toucher. I'm letting you know because it took me two days to notice it.

what is difference between black hole and budget hole?
Hobbes Novakoff replied to Pawelk198604's topic in The Lounge
And I've also heard that one does not violate forum rules. But really, it's not an ideological discussion by any stretch of the imagination. It's a joke. An overused joke, but still a joke. Ha ha. -
KSP1 Computer Building/Buying Megathread
Hobbes Novakoff replied to Leonov's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Thanks, but I'm not sure that's right for me. If I wasn't being clear, the $800 price includes monitor, keyboard and mouse, mousepad, headset, etc. It's really more like a $600 build (including OS.) I'm not going to be using this PC for bulk storage (I actually have a 1TB USB 3.0 drive for that) so I'm not going to need the HDD until down the line. (Also, wi-fi connectivity is a must as I'm going to have this sitting in the TV room, on another floor and across the house from my router. I have gigabit fiber so I want 802.11ac wifi to take advantage of the internet.) -
6/10 your warships are outdated. Also my cover is the result of a Google search for "gears."

10/10 Star Warz! (Imagine Star Wars Z. Like Star Wars but with zombies.)

KSP1 Computer Building/Buying Megathread
Hobbes Novakoff replied to Leonov's topic in KSP1 Discussion
What do you guys think of this setup? Mostly for KSP (maybe with some visual packs after U5), Cities:Skylines, Rocket League. Trying to keep the price as low as possible. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/wGjmwP -
Oh my god that article is awesome. How did I not notice that before?

First off...erm...That was a joke, not a rebuttal . Though in response, I see we just have fundamentally different positions on the whole thing. We could argue about this for weeks, or at least until someone loses their temper and the mods have to step in. But I see none of us is going to convince each other any more than we can convince each other to switch religions. My apologies for being a bit hostile during the entire thing. I've been a bit too quick to jump into the fray. You know how it is. But anyway, I'm going to put this dispute to rest. May as well let people air their perceived grievances without dragging them into a debate. Really, aside from "go back to the old forum," negative feedback is always more helpful, assuming it's given in a constructive, mature way. (Unlike some people in this thread.) So, I'm not going to participate in this debate any longer. It'll just result in more and more animosity between us. Regards, Hobbes Novakoff Also, P.S. @steve_v: I wasn't playing "who gets the last word." I was agreeing with you. Really. -

Laziness is just a derogatory word for efficiency. (EDIT: Since some people seem to think that that was actually my response, that was a joke.) But I also see we're never going to agree on this. So, let's end this debate before one of us says something we'll regret. -

Heh, I wish I got paid to argue with people on the internet.
