So, Atlas-D could not launch Mercury. The same problem with ICBM Titan II which could not put Gemini in LEO. So, not only Apollos never reached the Moon. And R-36M converted to Dnepr can't deliver the nominal 4.3 t using its ICBM head (officially ~9 t, half is the post-boost vehicle). Space is illusion. -

They have it because they are supersonic. The pilot can't just bail out. Concorde and Tu-144 were, too. Were. Starship is supersonic as well. The passenger planes don't fail every 100 flights. Boca-Chica, three years later.

That works. Almost every rocket diameter is defined either by train standard size, or by a N-row barge payload width (ISO container = 2.438 m, spacing 5 cm). Usually (if not always) it's also a diameter of a spherical tank (with cylindric equatorial section) of integer volume. The engineering laws are stronger than physical ones. Equipment to bend, transport to move. All are standard.
