Whispers of the Kraken (Epilogue: Revelations of the Kraken)
vsully replied to CatastrophicFailure's topic in KSP Fan Works
K Cubed sounds pretty sweet... But if you're teasing that, there can't be more than another ten - twenty chapters left in Whispers! The trailer looks ominous though. Evil Edgas or old Edgas vs evil? For some reason that trailer reminded me of the trailer for Logan. Something in the dry, dusty, old imagery. -

....one month later.... not to rush you, but... Any hope of a new chapter? -
I played KSP back in the day, but unfortunately I only had the demo. I didn't get the full version until 0.20.

Nice! They could use some miniguns tho...(well, more miniguns) And missiles on the shoulders, and a tank turret on top, and - Wait. The head should be a goalkeeper turret!

Whispers of the Kraken (Epilogue: Revelations of the Kraken)
vsully replied to CatastrophicFailure's topic in KSP Fan Works
Oh no, Val! But lifeboat... hmm. So maybe Val actually tagged along with Edgas and Chadvey on their flight to Jool. But I thought that already happened in the timeline. So maybe the evil Kraken-kerbs are trying to send another ship and undo what Edgas did? Maybe give The Kraken some band-aids and rubbing alcohol? A bottle of vodka too, for medical purposes? -

Whispers of the Kraken (Epilogue: Revelations of the Kraken)

Aaaaaaand the only song I recognized out of the list was Paint It Black. And the Star Wars music. Still, a cool list. But just where in the story does the Frozen music go? -

Ew, a tooth-monster. Is that a reference to Resident Evil? Also, were any of the songs references? If so, I missed them all :( References aside, great chapter, as always! -
Whispers of the Kraken (Epilogue: Revelations of the Kraken)

Woo. Dun dun dunnnn! This is getting really interesting... -
Well, in one old save, I tried to send a base to Laythe in one launch. I ran out of fuel in a Jool orbit. So I dumped the rover into Jool and now I have a new Jool station. With no docking ports except a mini one (that was totally not for a rover) and... landing legs... In case I ran into a random asteroid near Jool, of course! All as planned! My crew doesn't know yet... shhhh! When I launch stuff to other planets, I tend to just send a base. I was never that great at flying between planets and stuff like that, other than milk runs to Mun/Minmus, of course. I never was able to make one of those super-efficient TO DUNA/JOOL/EVE/EELOO/ETC AND BACK ships. Mine are enormous with ridiculous amounts of Kerbodyne engines in the first stage. So I would just launch a whole base, complete with rovers. A big base, with two labs and several Hitchhiker modules. They worked well, I had one on Duna and one on Eve. The only problem was on the Duna mission, where I parachuted down and landed on a slope. The extra stress snapped one of the legs, so I had a lopsided station and the rovers couldn't dock anymore. The Jool fiasco totally-planned-space-station-with-landing-legs thing doesn't count.

Same way you add images. And wow, this thread is over three years old, dude!

vsully replied to CatastrophicFailure's topic in KSP Fan Works
YES! You need to make this! That would be so cool! "And now, the guys we all wish we could be! The bane of street kugs! The terror of kangstas! The ingesters of korn kernels, beetles, and cheeseburgers™! The Gok of Buh'ers! The Dorp of Pay! Please welcome ~ Derpy Kermuuuuuuuun and ~ DA CHICKEEEEENNNN!!!" "Actually, it's Door-PAY." "BUH-GOOOOOK!" *awkward silence* "And now for our weather forekast tonight..." -
Where is the best place to sacrifice 2017 kerbals?
vsully replied to JacobJHC's topic in KSP Fan Works
I vote Bop as well. But you need to fly the ship INTO the Kraken's body! -

Whispers of the Kraken (Epilogue: Revelations of the Kraken)
vsully replied to CatastrophicFailure's topic in KSP Fan Works
Who knows... perhaps the Chicken™ is a sign of more... insidious things than a fowl... Can the Kraken corrupt delicious birds? Maybe... The Kraken raised two tentacles to his its eyes before pointing them at her... Then it summoned the chicken to its abode on Bop via chicken-shuttle (the Buh. Gok!) and ate it. -

Never know when you might be able to take a dip with the Kraken in his its private pool, y'see. Also - RIP Carrie Fisher. At least they wrapped Episode VIII before she died. ALSO - I like the spanish insults while they are scrambling... I almost woke my family up laughing. -
*passes out from necro overdose* Bruh. This thread is older than my dog.

The reason we have Kerbals and not humans in the spaceships is because if we had humans the rating would go up. Right? I mean, many people secretly enjoy making the Kerbals poof, scream, turn into living spaghetti, and otherwise use them as guinea pigs for big flying tubes of explodey stuff... I couldn't do that to a crew of humans, but Kerbals make it less serious and sad when your attempt to land on the Mun ends up plastered all over the face of it or buried in a deep, deep crater.
