  1. Yes, I think he tried to make the engines also jettisonable as decouplers, not sure though. I don't really do shuttles, so didn't spend much time on this. Not my mod, anyway

  3. Besides thwat @UnanimousCoward said above (which is absolutely correct), you should always provide a copy of the log file (see my sig for info) for analysis when asking for help. I would also suggest using CKAN to install your mods since it will also install any needed dependencies

  5. Well, given that you are having multiple issues, it might make sense to downsize to isolate what's causing the problem. You are running many complex mods, all of which have something going on in the editor. First, try using it by itself in the editor, make sure it's working on it's own. Then start adding groups of mods, testing after each addition. It's slow, but eventually you will find the conflict. I don't see anything wrong with the mod itself
