  1. User @nlight created this wonderful interface to improve the controller handling of KSP. He hasn't been around since 2016, so I'm adopting it. Original thread is here: https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/85711-11-afbw-v17-beta-joystick-controller-mod/ Advanced Fly-By-Wire The new version for KSP 1.4.x has new dependencies New Dependencies Click Through Blocker ToolbarController CKAN has been updated to install the dependencies, if needed Supports KSP 1.4+ on 64-bit Windows, 64-bit Linux and OSX XInput is not available on Linux. Windows 7 and up. Windows XP is not supported. Linux users, you must install SDL2 through your distro's package manager (libSDL2-2.so must be present on the system) To install the libsdl2 libraries on Linux, do one of the following: If on CentOS or Redhat: sudo yum update sudo yum install SDL2 If on Ubuntu: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install libsdl2-2.0-0 Features - Simple to configure - Edit your control setup at any time during flight, no need to go back to the main menu to change bindings - Button combos! - Plug & play - Multiple presets - Supports all controller & joystick models using SDL - Native support for Xbox 360- compatible controllers through XInput - Unlimited number of buttons and axes - Keyboard & mouse support - Lower latency and better analog precision for some controllers - Dead-zone detection and analog calibration How to use The mod adds a new button to the mod toolbar. Click the game controller icon or press Shift + L during flight to bring up AFBW's main configuration screen. After setting up your controller you should save your game (by using quick-save or exiting to space center), which will automatically save your controller configuration as well. Availability Source:https://github.com/linuxgurugamer/ksp-advanced-flybywire Download: https://github.com/linuxgurugamer/ksp-advanced-flybywire/releases Spacedock: Windows version: https://spacedock.info/mod/1869 Linux version: https://spacedock.info/mod/1870 OSX version: https://spacedock.info/mod/1878 Now available via CKAN License: MIT Manual installation Windows 1. Download the latest mod archive from SpaceDock 2. Copy the contents of the archive inside KSP's root folder. You should see the game controller icon during flight mode. 3. Please note that XInputInterface.dll and SDL2.dll must be in the same folder as the KSP executable and not in GameData. Linux & OSX 1. Download the latest mod archive from SpaceDock 2. Install SDL2 using your distro's package manager (libSDL2-2..so. should be present on the system) 3. Copy the contents of the archive inside KSP's root folder. Report bugs in GitHub's issue tracker or as a reply to this post.
  2. Can you elaborate, please? For example, what OS, and describe exactly what happens. Would have helped if you had pinged me
  3. Did you just recompile it for 1.4? I don't see any commit changes in the code For those interested, I've been maintaining a version of this for myself for a while, but haven't released it, mainly because I didn't want to deal with the linux and mac support. However, I'm going to be updating this to support the ClickThroughBlocker and ToolbarController, would there be interest in that version?
  4. Strange, there weren't any code changes from 0.1.6.3 to 0.1.6.5 I'll look at it later
  5. Ok. The author made some updates, I released it earlier today
  6. Back that up with some facts. I can say that Win 10 is more st as bike than any previous version. Among other things. I work with support people who deal with windows all the time and for the past few years, the problems with windows itself are minimal. The same cannot be said for 3rd party drivers, which is where most windows problems come from
  7. This isn't my mod, address your request to the mod author
  8. Here is the last copy I have: https://www.dropbox.com/s/folevxnpricimdw/KS3P-V5.0.zip?dl=0 Edit: This is for KSP 1.4.3, should work in all of 1.4.x
  9. Absolutely. In fact, if the license allows, you could even pick up the old mod and continue it (I've done this a few times). If the license doesn't allow (ie: All Rights Reserved, etc), then there is no problem creating a NEW mod which replicates the old one, as long as you don't copy any of the old files.
  10. I waited a year before upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Haven't had a problem, unlike Windows 8. While I didn't run it, I helped plenty of people with it, hated every minute
  11. First, it would be nice if you posted a log file, otherwise there is no way anybody can diagnose your problem Second, I just installed KVV using CKAN, and it showed up without a problem. I do have version 0.1.6.5 installed. So, please install it again, start the game, and when you get to the main menu, go into the VAB or the SPH and save the log file. Then post a link to it here so I can see what's going on. I've had several reports that this version works well, so I need to see your log file
  12. I'm sure there are lots of ships on KerbalX, but it would be better if you persevered with your own design. Quite often it is the pilot which is at fault, but either way, you will learn more doing it yourself
  13. Ok, I've resolved the problem, but because of the issue, I'm releasing this as a beta: https://jenkins.spacetux.net/job/A-F/job/ClickThroughBlocker/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/000_ClickThroughBlocker-0.1.6.5.zip Please let me know if there are any issues. I was able to replicate the problem, and this fixes it If you install this, be sure to remove the old ClickThroughBlocker directory before starting the game!!!
  14. I did not just edit the OP, you can actually read the original thread, it's linked in the OP The CB Windows uses the data of whatever bodies are in the game at the time
  15. This actually happened a while before the T2 takeover
  16. Downgrade the ClickThroughBlocker back to 0.1.6.3, you probably got the 0.1.6.4 which had a problem
  17. Why not just use the current models, make them very small and very heavy.
  18. I'm deleting the latest version, some mods aren't happy with it Sorry for the problems. Downgrad back to 0.1.6.3
  19. @Sovetskysoyuz @Wyzard I need the log file. and it's not that change, that was a mistake, a mod should not require itself as a dependency. If you installed this by hand, make sure the old directory has been removed
