  1. Ok, fresh KSP install, no other mods, just Interstellar. Something weird it's happening: No toolbar, no Interstellar GUI, no thermal VAB or everithing else. Tried and re-tried, no solutions founded. Here's my output log: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kcstdu0jhh7ry92/output_log.txt?dl=0
  2. Thank you very much for the update! A rocket isn't a rocket without your tanks and engines!!!
  3. I have an issue with the radiators. In two different KSP install, everytime I try to attach any kind of Heat Radiator (the red one), in VAB and SPH too, KSP goes crazy. They don't attach to anything, and if I try more and more, KSP freeze completely. If i delete the radiators, I'm still unable to attach anything more. I have to exit from KSP. Is this a know issue? And a question too, Filter Extension is a suggestion or totally requested?
  4. I discovered KSP back in the 2011 in another forum about space. I played for a while, and saw some Scott Manley videos about it. Then, I almost forgot about KSP for sometime until, one day, I saw one of the first episodes of Interstellar Quest and I came back, much more interested and with a little more free time.
  5. Back in the first days of 0.90, I had an heavy modded install with Multiple Working Solar System. At the end of a Career Mode, I planned a long missions to another star, using the Interstellar Warp Drive, Vista Engine, Tac LF. I sent 7 Kerbals on the nearest star in just 2 years of travel. When they came back to Kerbin, the Kraken was jealous of my success, and began to bite my mothership, taking bit by bit of it. I lost many parts and the lander, but succesfully parked the mothership in LKO, before an SSTO took the crew back. it was epic, fantastic, wonderful and really scary at some moments... I'll like to do it again in 1.0.
  6. Fake terrain... A couple of days ago, with my first long range spaceplanes, I successfully landed on Laythe, very short of fuel, but with a ISRU and a drill in the payload bay. After the refuel operation, trying to take off, the plane sunk in the ground and suddenly exploded... That was very sad.
  7. Thanks. I know it's not still perfect. I used intake for nukes cause I hate to spam intakes all over a ship. With the nuFAR if you want to manage supersonic speed is mandatory to avoid excessive wing area, that's the reason for the fins used as wings, they're not so huge as area and have good control surfaces. TAC Fuel Balancer is highly recommended as you said for the nukes and for the balance of the ship. I put RCS to help stability during re entry, cause the ship is pretty manageable, but it can happen to yaw and roll. Houdini seems pretty balanced, for that high speed requested. I was able with that configuration to reach Eve easily and also Laythe, but short with fuel. An issue with that ship for the moment is the low TWR for orbital maneuvers. But I'm not sure about another couple of nukes... If you have some ideas, feel free to suggest, I would like to improve this design, it seems promising:-)
  8. Hi, I had a couple of short experience in the past with RO, but my pc isn't enough and some glitches discouraged me. So I have a simple question, what's a good hardware configuration for RO?
  9. Yesterday I shared my first successful FAR SSTE (Single Stage to Everywhere... More or less). http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/120981-FAR-Three-Kats Congratulations for the idea of this thread.
  10. Very good. I'll try it very soon.
  11. Here an example of what a Scramjet can do: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/120981-FAR-Three-Kats?p=1932704#post1932704 Thanks to your mod, I was able to realize an SSTO that reach LKO with still 75% of fuel. It can reach almost every planet in the Kerbol System.
  12. Many times ago, I saw the mighty "Draco" from the Interstellar Quest of Scott Manley. A spaceplane able to reach every planet or moon in the Kerbol System. I tried many times to achieve a similar result in a more stock(ish) way. After days of hard work and nights of projecting, I'm here to present to you the mighty "THREE KATS" He can deliver great payloads in LKO, Eve, Duna and probably also Laythe. Be careful, in case of landing on one of those planets, you'll be probably unable to return. Requested Mods: Tweak Scale: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/112693-1-0-2-TweakScale-v2-1%28May-2%29-recompile-new-Stock-part (for the wings) Instell Incorporated Experimental Technologies: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/119735-1-0-2-Instell-Incorporated-Experimental-Technologies (the very useful Scramjet engines) Spacey Heavy Lifter: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/100408-1-0-2-SpaceY-Heavy-Lifter-Parts-Pack-v0-13-%282015-05-09%29 (the cluster of Ramjet engines) Fully compatible with FAR and the new version of DRE. Flight Plan: Engage the Ramjet with the AG 2, take off and go very steeply to a high pitch (50/60°), while throttle down the engines. From 5/6 Km of altitude, reduce your pitch at 15°, throttle up until you reach 400 m/s, enable the Scramjets with the AG 3, maintain a pitch of 10/15°, reached the 700 m/s, engage also the nukes with AG 1. Congratulations, you're in orbit with 75% of fuel in your tanks. Ship Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2l96an3mcy1eorw/Three%20Kats.craft?dl=0
  13. Hi, is there a workaround or a way to make the chutes work with the new FAR?
  14. Except when they walk or come down from a ladder... Ladders are dangerous for Kerbals... Walking can kill them!
  15. Thanks Tristan. I feel you like a brother. I'm in a similar situation like you were many years ago. I'm happy to see that you've made it. It gives more hopes to me, for the hard days coming. Thanks...
  16. Thank you very much Hodo. I downloaded nuFar, but I was scared from bugs. For the first time from when I discovered the mod's world, my KSP install it's almost stable :-) Soon I'll try.
  17. Yes, for that reason I use TAC Fuel Balancer, but no solution with that.
  18. Ladies and Gentleman, from the very first days of KSP 1.0 I was trying to build a proper MK3 SSTO, with bad results until now. I'm used to play with FAR, but it's not updated yet, so I tried with the stock aero. Yesterday finally I discovered the beautiful "Instell Incorporated Experimental Technologies" that provided me with the mighty Scramjet Engines. After a couple of try with some small planes, I tried for a proper MK3 cargo plane. The problem is that this ship is unstable at high altitude. It seems that the engines are aligned with the CoM, but my nose continue to fly by itself. Can someone please help me? 19. Something like this was made in the past by the B9 Aerospace for them SABER engine. There was a B9 Compressed Air from the Intercooler. From KSP 0.25 if my memory helps me, the Compressed Air was deprecated, due to the difficult to implement in KSP and a very limited utility.
  20. Something like a Quantum Vacuum thruster? You're really talented as a modder, those Scramjets really are simples but well made. This way, your mod don't will to suck too much RAM while give some real fun and usefulness...
  21. Just tried the engines on a Aeris4A. They're totally great and I think almost perfect. Congratulations!
