It's just the Kraken playing "Whack a Kerbal"
-
It's happened many times, not just on Kerbin but also on other planets, like Laythe. I thought those kind of problems were solved with 1.0 but I was wrong. Just happened again, looking for an anomaly at the North Pole of Kerbin. Ladders are dangerous or what?
-
The mighty CHUCK KERMAN!!!!! The only Kerbal that killed the Kraken with a roundhouse kick in his face. All mission with him aboard will be Kraken Safe.

From that point of view, RSS is the 10X config you talk about. Stock size and realistic will be one of the best mod ever. In 0.90 there was many Re-sized Kerbol or Solar System that were really hard to handle, first RSS. But they weren't so much interesting, except for a few of them. At the moment there are just a couple of mods updated for 1.0.2 that changes the Kerbol System, in a interesting way, but not so beauty as a Kerbol sized RSS will be.
-
Probably you can use some textures and models from the Real Solar System mod. NathanKell, the creator of the RSS, it's well known to be very helpful with other modders. P.S. a Kerbol sized Solar System will be very interesting also for players that would like to use the RSS mod but haven't a great pc.

KSP Interstellar Extended Continued Development Thread
Nansuchao replied to FreeThinker's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Very good update, but as we've seen, the VISTA engine doesn't will to have thermal problem to the ship, due to it's own ability to dissipate that heat, IRL. -
Hi, I think you had a great idea. In my opinion, more than a changed and more challenging Kerbol System, a Real Solar System rescaled to Kerbol proportions will be more appreciate, while there are other mods (Outer Planet) that improve the realism and challenging of the Kerbol System without some changes that someone could love or not. Just my opinion of course. If I can help in any way, feel free to ask.

Developing a New Mod and would love a Team
Nansuchao replied to Spexus's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Hi, I'm interested in testing. Timezone: GMT +2 Age: 32 Position: Italy Skype: N Somethings About Your self(not needed but helps you'r chances): Old KSP players, from version 0.08, lover of futuristic stuff. -
Yes, it works on a different principle than the Ion. They only have in common the need of energy, but nothing else. Ion engines arte good just for probes, Quantum Vacuum Thruster, if we'll find a way to feed it with enough energy, will be good for manned missions too.
-
Not less energy intennse, it needs more and more and MOAR energy. we're talking about GW of power...
-
You can find one in the Interstellar Mod. The upgraded version of the Plasma Thruster is a Quantum Vacuum Thruster. It needs only energy, a huge amount of energy for a small thrust, but not other propellant at all.

[1.0.2] Sentinel Memory Monitoring Utility (v0.3 Beta)
Nansuchao replied to Zeenobit's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Maybe an icon on the stock toolbar that appears on alarm on. You click on hit and disable the warning message. -
[1.0.2] Sentinel Memory Monitoring Utility (v0.3 Beta)
Nansuchao replied to Zeenobit's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Ok, I tried hit, and it works as said. If I can suggest something, it will be good to stop the message of warning if willed. I received the Critical Warning and I finished my mission (dock, transfer crew and re-entry on Kerbin from LKO) with the red message in the center of my screen. When it was displayed at first, I made a Quicksave but was unable a way to hide the message. Btw, very good work! -
What do you think about a KSP 1.0 version of the Interstellar mod? It's something really missing at the moment. FreeThinker is working on Interstellar Extended, that's more a RO version of the original Fractal_UK work. I think many of us would like to use the Classic one in the new KSP.

[1.0.2] Sentinel Memory Monitoring Utility (v0.3 Beta)
Nansuchao replied to Zeenobit's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
This will be very useful, congratulations. The new KSP uses much less memory, so it's easy to add more and more mods until it becomes unplayable. -
[1.3.1] Ferram Aerospace Research: v0.15.9.1 "Liepmann" 4/2/18
Nansuchao replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
A stupid question maybe, but still curious to know... Will the nuFar affect the current atmosphere or just the behavior of the ships? What KSP miss now, is a souposphere that slow you down at terminal velocity while falling and will affect the behavior of planes and spaceplanes too. Is there a way to change this situation or not?- 14,073 replies

The atmosfere doesn't have enough drag during reentry. Instead of slow you down to terminal velocity it slow some and then let you accellerate again at more than Mach 2.

[1.0] Cooldown: A Community Discussion of Heat Management
Nansuchao replied to Angelo Kerman's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
One thing that's completely wrong with KSP 1.0 is the atmosferic drag during re entry. The atmosfere doesn't slot you down as it should and that's will add a great difficulty in heat management, cause actually is totally unrealistic. Now can you simulate a real heat effect while you accellerate falling from 15 km to a speed of more than 500 m/s? Also parachutes are unrealistic, but that's the only way to make it work, unless you can just make rocket powered re entry. Is it possible to change this situation? -
New aero & variuous bugfixing, right? I like the new aero, but she hate me. The buoyancy is still the same, as the physics https://youtu.be/5uta1v3JxfM

[1.3.0] Ambient Light Adjustment 2.6.3.8 [09/06/2017] continued)
Nansuchao replied to timmers_uk's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It doesn't work for me. I have not the Blizzy Toolbar, and nothings appear on the stock one. -
First try with an heavy Mk3 SSTO. While in flight, I wanted to look the Iva at work... But I hit the EVA button instead... Bye Valentina!
