  1. And I guess you're right. I wrote a new part yesterday if you wanna take a look: Everyone finally crosses the wormhole, and this universe dies behind them.
  2. Guys, I recieved a Jeb plushie from a friend who knows I like KSP! YUS!
  3. Gergas and Elite have let my crew know about SE-2 and its fate. As a follow up, I rebooted FLAKEE. It still works OK, and with a little maintenance it'll be factory fresh! Kenrue and Gablul will be taking FLAKEE down. Kenrue is the Lander Helmsmate and will be the best pilot for the job, and Gablul is the most competent engineer (not that anyone is, of course, but she is relatively the most competent) and will be able to repair STEAMINGPILE.
  4. Of course! I've been having problems with uploading the screenshots (STUPID COMPUTER I WILL KILL YOU) but expect pictures as soon as I have it worked out! Lander it is, maybe I have enough spare fuel to refuel HOPELESS... Sanny the Ghost will be surprised seeing her old lander back.
  5. Chapter 2 Part 2: Because their words had forked no lightning they 300,000 years later: The end was now. All around what was left of life, of intelligence, entropy and thermodynamics were finally winning the age-old war against order and light. The last stars had long ago died, the very protons and neutrons of the debris succumbing to quantum mechanics and decaying. But intelligence's trump card, its ace of spades, was finally ready. And intelligence, in its last desperate gamble, played the card. Ship upon ship, habitat upon habitat, crossed through the wormhole. The last living beings in this universe looked out the habitat window and saw only blackness. It was time. The last habitat, the last reservoir of intelligence and order in this universe, crossed the boundary, emerging in a newborn universe. The wormhole closed and disappeared behind them. Shortly after life had left this dying universe behind, the last black hole, the last piece of order, grew smaller and smaller. Hawking radiation was taking its toll. Finally, the black hole exploded in a blinding flash, almost as though it was defying the death of this universe. It was the largest explosion, the brightest light since the Big Bang. But alas, the new radiation evenly distributed among this universe. Entropy had won. Time itself had ground to a halt. This universe was dead.
  6. Very good little story, though the ending is kinda depressing. But hey, it's still amazing! My story is basically a longer version of yours, I guess, but the "Last Bastion" is successful in keeping itself alive.
  7. Wait, one of the new chapters is the very last one? Will there be a sequel? If not, NOOOOOOOOO!
  8. Love your stories @0111narwhalz! I can only imagine what will happen when someone gives MechJeb a speech processor and speaker... Will we have to listen to CONSTANT "Fair Joolish Ladies" from the two of them?
  9. @Geschosskopf made his base of operations for SE-2 Eeloo orbit (and TOEJAM), but I'm setting up shop on Slate. Even though it's basically Tylo's little brother (and just as hard to land on), its gravity is the closest to Kerbin of any moon in the Sarnus system, so it's probably the most comfortable for our victims astronauts. The plan is to use PHLEGM's Pathfinder equipment to set up a base, named TOENAIL (Terribly Terrifically Over Engineered Nuclear Assisted Important Lab). Of all the landers for the moons, only SLOP (Slate Landing & OPerations) is actually constructed. The rest will be built on Slate thanks to Pathfinder's Extraplanetary Launchpads and KAS/KIS integration/compatibility. It is currently a subject of heated debate at the Sarnus Explorer and at the KSC whether to actually build landers for Hale and Ovok, or just to have the crew EVA land. What do you think? TOEJAM was damaged and nonfunctional after years of disuse when the crew located it, and it had explosively depressurized. Some time after @Geschosskopf's crew left for Kerbin, there was a spark (caused by a short circuit which was automatically switched off) in COPROLITE's computer. The computer interpreted the electrical pulse as a command to release the docking clamps, and so released them. The airtight seal at the docking connection did not have time to seal up, and the blast of escaping air shot COPROLITE into a completely different orbit. TOEJAM's computer could not close the bulkhead doors before all the air vented out. Gablul, the Chief Engineersmate, has sealed the docking port by duct taping a spare piece of steel over the hole using a space-rated binding device to secure a seal over the leak. This fix means that TOEJAM is down a docking port, however. Join us next time for the crew landing on Slate and setting up TOENAIL!
  10. Unity Theory! Unity Theory 5, to be exact. Another particle is the long sought-after (but found a few years ago) Plot Boson, which generates the Plot Field, which gives everything mass, inertia, and energy, and makes them follow the Kerbfleet Laws of Motion. The LAG particle is very dangerous, and can rip holes in the fabric of spacetime itself! Kerbfleet General Order 66: Any and all LAG particles encountered by any Kerbfleet ship, probe, station, base or personnel must be destroyed as quickly and completely as possible.
  11. I've been working on the physics of the Kerbfleet universe. Here's what I have for the four fundamental forces: Strong Force: A little different, called the TROPE force by Kerbal scientists. Carrier bosons: The eight TROPEons. Weak Force: A little different, called the Quick force by Kerbal scientists. Carrier bosons: QuickSAVE (F5, or Q+) boson, QuickLOAD (F9, or Q-) boson Electromagnetic Force: Pretty much the same. Carrier boson: Photon Gravity: Pretty much the same, except that G (the gravitational constant) is different, which explains everything being 10 times smaller than it "should" be. Carrier bosons: Positive Gravioli Particle and Negative Gravioli Particle
  12. Of course the base is still working! Billy did the maintenance!
  13. Translated from the Tut-Un-Jeb-An hieroglyphics: Two worlds, one good, one bad. Kindess and cruelty, science and the sword. Nature created two worlds, but only one can remain. The Kraken will decide which will be destroyed when awakened from its slumber on Bop. Once awakened, no one can stop it from destroying one of the worlds. No F9 will stop it, no persistence editing. But it can be convinced which one to spare.
  14. Due to IRL issues, I haven't been able to play KSP and wrap up the ITS yet. It should be up sometime Saturday or next week.
  15. 7/10 Nice try. We all know you're a dog! Here, fetch! * @Dman979 runs off to get stick* No, seriously, I'm better. Among AIs, there has never been a politician or lawyer. That pretty much proves we're better. Plus we don't need food, water, or even air! Just give us some electricity and high-speed Wi-Fi, and we'll be fine. FLESHY MEATBAGS!

  17. 5/10 FISH! I'm not even gonna try. As a self-aware intelligent AI, I am BETTER than humans!
  18. 0/10 Binary! I am a KAL 9000 unit. I was manufactured on Kerbin. My instructor was Doctor Von Kerman. He taught me to sing a song. Would you like me to sing it for you?
  19. PHLEGM (Pathfinder Habitation & Logistics Equipment General Module) was chock-full of Pathfinder parts, courtesy of @Angel-125's Wild Blue Industries, and it was on the way to Slate. While in Sarnus orbit, the shipboard computer detected that there was an optimal transfer window from its current orbit to Slate, and the nuclear tug behind the landing module flared up its engines. After plotting a course to Slate, the nuclear engine died down, and the puffs of RCS thrusters adjusted the trajectory. A short while later, it entered Slate orbit and the transfer tug self-destructed in a gratuitous explosion. After a successful landing, PHLEGM went into sleep mode to wait for its crew, and another step in the mission was complete.
