  1. *Insert confused screaming* Yeah i'll release a half-res version. There's no way you'll be able to run the max resolution version on 4 gigs.
  2. Magic. Also got a screenshot for you all; Demise. This is Eve, burning away.
  3. Do not convert heightmaps to DDS, as it is a lossless format. However, do use colormaps and normal maps! To do this, open the image in paint.net, which is free to download. Flip the texture vertically, then save it as a DDS. Job done. Alternatively, you can use Photoshop with the NVIDIA plugin (requires a NVIDIA graphics card I imagine) to save textures as DDS, too.
  4. It forces the rotation of the MapDecal in SpaceCentre. Set the lat and lon to the same as the below one. It just fixes the orientation.
  5. Yum! great job as always @The White Guardian! Definitely installing this
  6. No need. SpaceCenter { //PQSCity latitude = -0.5 longitude = 170.41 lodvisibleRangeMult = 6 repositionRadiusOffset = 4228 //always minus 22 from mapdecal absolute.offset. This is the physical space center reorientFinalAngle = 88 // MapDecal decalLatitude = -0.5 decalLongitude = 170.5 heightMapDeformity = 0 absoluteOffset = 4250 //this flattens the area around the Space Center. Increase = higher, decrease = lower absolute = true radius = 4200 angle = 180 groundColor = 0.22, 0.24, 0.156, 0.145 groundTexture = CTTP/Textures/gravel }
  7. As you said. Light cannot pass through. MFI tries applying light through the disk because the source is not occluded. Thus when the star is lighting the surface of a planet the log is spammed with errors. Download GPO latest and add an accretion disk to Olu'um. Then in flight view from KSC with Olu'um in view, look at f12 > console.
  8. Huh. That's nice Now let's see if this fixes the many, many MFI exceptions when applied around other stars... Great work
  9. Ah, gotcha. In which case, thank you Definitely make sure you're happy with your planets before release and you should be good
  10. Heh don't go off the download count. It got off very badly (similar results to BK at the moment) because it was very poorly made with very bad textures. It was my first planet pack and I went into it with no knowledge of how to make decent textures at all. Make sure your mod is at a good stage before release!
  11. There's a lot of planets. Kerbin is Gaia, the future kerbin. Hey all. GPO should be on CKAN now.
  12. Assuming duna vaguely resembles a mars-like planet, I've based it off similar origins. Some people believe that Mars used to harbour life or water at the very least before it lost most of its atmosphere, evident in the various Martian canyons. In the future, we will likely colonise or attempt to colonise Mars. In the future of the Kerbal system, duna may have also been colonised. Its mass matches kerbin but this is not really for lore purposes. I want the gameplay to be relatively stock a like and not provide advantages or disadvantages by adjusting the home planet's properties
  13. Granted, But your profile picture is used as a heightmap on one of my planets... ...but it's flipped vertically
  14. well technically... https://github.com/Kopernicus/kittopia-dumps/blob/master/Configs/
  15. The bugs from back then still remain. I've made Duna and I'm very happy with how it turned out, so don't worry too much. I was stopped by a limitation
  16. As @JadeOfMaar, this has quite a large scope in mind for the first planet pack, so expect to be revisiting planets and moons multiple times (this is what happened to me ) before the initial release. However, best of luck!
  17. Mhm, that's what I've always done. And there are bugs. Therefore I'm not reparenting the home planet.
  18. Will change Duma's atmo. Surfaces are already tinted, just not in Scaled Space (to preserve colours) "Name = Kerbin" As I said, you cannot apply a space centre to something which isn't kerbin. Your planet is kerbin, meaning you can.
  19. You can't apply a space centre to something which isn't kerbin. Thus why Post Spawn Orbit is required. ____ To scale up the sunflare, reduce the last value in sunflare and sunspike settings. Yes - reduce it. The formula for the scale is (1 / number)
  20. Special sunflare provided by @JadeOfMaar! Had to scale it up 35 times to fit the giant star! (This is taken from Duna nearly 1.5x as far out as usual)
  21. It's more than the scene. I'm more bothered about people who aren't so good with mods and will continue to report known bugs. Anyways, KSC is fine on Duna
