  1. Yep. Make sure to plug in all of them BEFORE setting up presets, though.
  2. And as he's just about to reach the deck they all throw their hands up and scream: "It's just a prank bro!"
  3. Hue hue hue hue Also it's good to hear the launch is not scrubbed, for now at least. Somebody, please blast a signal at the boat to high tail it out of the exclusion zone...
  4. I got a laptop hooked up to my living room TV which was no trivial task If they scrub it....
  5. Is the Youtube one not working for you? Or is that not what you're looking for? Also, the music sounds like a dying whale at times
  6. Whoa, yeah looking back at it they definitely didn't skip. I looked at some of the other entry transcripts and Ctrl + F "skip" returns no results. How about that! Out of all the stuff I've seen on Apollo, I'm pretty sure all of it mentions a skip when talking about re-entry. Crazy how stuff like this goes unnoticed sometimes.
  7. Just to be sure, if I delete all but the latest version of MM will I have any backwards compatibility issues?
  8. Sunday??!? I heard it would be no earlier than March 3! Can't wait!
  9. I don't know where else to ask this, I've tried the AFBW thread and gotten no response... What do you use as the interface between your joystick and KSP? I'm trying to use AFBW but it's extremely difficult to control anything due to the joystick inputs clashing with SAS. Do you just use the stock KSP joystick config menu? Edit: It might have been my previous joystick or my brief period of experimentation, but I have it working relatively well now.
  10. Memory leak? Look at KSP's performance stats while it's running. Is the memory usage slowly creeping up? If you let the performance drop WAY down and immediately restart the game does it go back to normal? Also, guys, please read the entire thread before answering. He's already turned off any power saving settings and it's not overheating. (Although my experiment would also make sure it's not heat)
  11. That looks very nice! Obviously the panels aren't enough to fly continously, how much charge does it hold? That's a lot of ion power...
  12. Capacitor aging, assuming they're smoothing/filter caps should only effect output noise, although I suppose they could effect efficiency as well. Capacitors hate heat. The cooler they're kept the longer they last, as the fluid in them will evaporate over the course of their life span. I haven't done any research on capacitor aging when it comes to PSU's in particular. OT: I did some research and somebody managed a 50% overclock with my CPU (FX-8320) at the cost of doubling the power consumption... obviously I'm not going to take it that far but it gives me a bit of confidence.
  13. Before KSP my vision of space flight was essentially "rocket go up, weeee, space floating no gravity" and the rest was just, like, magic or something. Now, less than a year later, I can easily recite the Apollo mission profile in unsettling amounts of detail, I can fly realistic rendezvous missions in RSS, and much more. KSP opened a LOT of doors for me. It's by far my favorite game. Also, guys, don't hate on people who play KSP just for the explosions. I was introduced to KSP by one of nerdcubed's videos. At the time I had a pretty good grasp on aviation and recognized the navball, which made me research the game further... and we're all familiar with what happens after that
  14. No S-II? The Saturn V can put a pretty significant payload into orbit if you just use the first two stages (SRB's optional ) What were the G forces like near S-1C cutoff?
  15. Ofc before I even think about overclocking I'm gonna have to upgrade from the stock cooler... That sort of single threaded performance increase should I expect? I think anything under 15% isn't worth the effort tbh
  16. Of course! However the Lunar surface journal is better than a video/audio recording could ever be if you don't mind reading. The actual events took quite a while and there are many stretches of silence (i.e. cabin depressurization). Also the journal includes explanations as to what's happening.
  17. I especially like the idea of fixing SAS so it doesn't let go of all axis when a button is pressed.
  18. Does this still work reasonably well in 1.0.5? If so that's a design that has stood the test of time very well
  19. 1.1 is still going to be mostly single threaded, though not as much as it is now. Do I dare ask about overclocking? As you can probably tell, I'm not too great with this whole thing. My current PC is the first one I've ever built.
  20. Yes please. This should make balancing aircraft easier.
  21. They said the flight computer failed to start I think...?
