  1. Walking in Memphis, unless that was a trick one: OK, here's an oldie but goodie: "Can you tell a green field, From a cold steel rail, A smile from a veil???"
  2. Something a math professor eats for desert... Why do donuts have holes???
  3. My current career I've landed on everything except Eeloo and Tylo, put stations around Eve, Duna, Kerbin, and Jool, plus all their moons, and bases on the Mun, Minmus, Duna and Ike... But I stopped... I'm gonna re-start a new career as soon as 1.1 comes out.
  4. I noticed this a while back..... but honestly, I don't really care. So I have an all female crew, except Jeb, Bill, and Bob.... doesn't bother me, as long as it doesn't break the game.
  5. Oh that was beautiful!!! hehehe Imagine being inside it! I suppose any one you can walk away from is a good landing.....
  6. That scene was so wrong.... and yeah, I loved it too!!!
  7. I read somewhere the Tylo Easter eggs were removed... sorry. Nice job on finding Vallhenge... I'm homing in on that one myself... I think.
  8. Now I have to figure the most efficient way of flying her into orbit....steep climb or shallow climb and all that. Is there a thread going on best SSTO flight strategy???
  9. I find them quite useful in conjunction with other missions, like tests or rescues. Doing a rescue mission is profitable... but doing a rescue mission with a suborbital or orbital tourist or 2 along for the ride can really help offset the cost of the launch! My rule is: Never, ever take a suborbital or orbital tourist up by themselves.... but always try to fill any empty seats with tourists, even suborbital ones if that's all that's available. That's where they become worth something.
  10. The closest I've come so far is this, the Annabel Lee. She's a self re-fueling explorer ship, but she's still untested on Tylo. That's her next big test. But even if she had the parachutes to land, she would never, ever be able to take off again from Eve. Close, but no Kerban cigar yet...
  11. I finally got one into orbit!!! WOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't thank the OP enough, and everyone else that chimed in on this thread, for all the great information! SSTO's have been the one thing I couldn't tackle, but this thread really helped me figure out what I was doing wrong!!! Kerbal players are the best!!! Thank you everyone!!!
  12. So far I've found the Armstrong Memorial and the Dead Kraken.... but the exact locations are classified... lol... And I may have finally spotted Vallhenge. Not sure... but I saw something sparkling at almost 10,000 meters, way higher than any rock would show up. That's exactly how I found the other two. I did three orbits and it was there each time.... later I'll attempt to land next to whatever it is.
  13. Never..... it's definitely cheating IMO Instead I've had a lot of fun making rescue missions for kerbals I got stranded.... and they really gave me some great practice rendezvousing and precision landing.
  14. Landing somewhere super hard like the Rock Garden on Pol.... almost felt like opening a bottle of champagne after this one. Oh, and like the last poster... no mechjeb here either
  15. Agreed... that last one is definitely the best!!!
  16. Banned for... idk.. eating my taco!!!!
  17. I've brought my entire staff back to Kerbin, and I'm experimenting with SSTO's and such until D-day. I'm honestly not sure at his point if I'll continue my career or start a new one when 1.1 comes out.
  18. I've been thinking if I restart my career when 1.1 comes out I may play it harder than the one I'm playing now....
  19. Finally got an SSTO into orbit!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still need to do a couple little adjustments... but other than some glowing wings, she did awesome!
