If you feel way, I can point you to the links/threads necessary for you to make IVA's for the pods you want. We can always use more IVA modders.

Nah. It's a pain to MAKE IVA views. As someone who is going to spend the ENTIRE day making an IVA for @CobaltWolf's Apollo CSM, I can understand why they so seldom get done. (Such a pain.)

@Beale Looks like you switched the file path in Model for both parts of the Blok-D. You have it as MODEL { model = TantaresLV/SUS/Parts/BlokD_LFO_A } And it should be MODEL { model = TantaresLV/Parts/SUS/BlokD_LFO_A }

Who ever thought my name would get thrown around whenever IVA's get mentioned. I am desperate to get my new HD so I can redo the lost CSM IVA I had finished.

[1.12.x] RetractableLiftingSurface Module released
Daelkyr replied to linuxgurugamer's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
A quick question. When creating a retractable lifting surface. Does the part that is intended to be the wing need a collider? -
Since Kopernicus has been updated I've been testing out Saturn and Titan rockets in 3.2x and 2x solar systems. The Saturn 1B and Titan II GLV both come in around 5000 m/s delta v. The problem is that this won't reach orbit in a 3.2x system rescale because of the increase in delta v required. The rescale puts the requirement at 5724 m/s, leaving both launch vehicles short of the goal. The x2 scale works for them, although both are squeakers at 4525 m/s. I did end up restoring the Saturn 1B to pre-lessening fuel amounts to have it top out at 5000 m/s. I don't think this is a bug, just the way things are balanced.

I want to thank @Jso for the recent balance pass. The Saturn 1B & 1C have around 5500/ms dv and that seems about right for the BDB beast. And a full S-IVB and half full S-IC/S-II has the first two stages burn out slightly before orbit and give plenty of fuel for the third stage to circularize and the perform TMI. Really nice work.

I'm playing around with a hollow docking port. But part of the use for this would be having two ports be able to dock while a part of the vessel is stuck thru them. Will the docking nodes still be able to find each other if one or both of them is inside another part? Basically perform a docking as shown in trans-earth injection. So the docking ports would be on top of the hollow fairing and above the J-2 engine.

[KSP 1.2] No Crew Requirement Continued 1.0.1
Daelkyr replied to RealGecko's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Just tried this mod out in sandbox. Amazing! It's so awesome to laugh boilerplate capsules into space. -
@CobaltWolf I'll check to see if FASA Big G had one and if it'll work. I am almost done with a first pass at a new Apollo CSM IVA that matches the dang windows. As for the Gemini lander, it's so basic, I could probably get you an IVA done today. (And I kind of threw myself under the IVA bus I begin with.)

You, as always, freaking rock. My first career play thru might have to be an @Angel-125 mod game. Between MOLE, Pathfinder, Buffalo, and Snacks! what else do I need?

Okay... The FASA CSM is a worse fit then the K-P0110. However, I got some really good ideas on how to lay out a complicated IVA like the CSM. And I finally realized what's throwing off a lot of my IVA attempts. The hatch doesn't match the forward windows. I just need to let that go and I think I'll be in business.
