I'm curious how do you interpret nationality on an apparently uninhabited world? @Pds314, discussion and development of headcannon is not exactly roleplaying. It should be OK in these forums. Cool map though!

@linuxgurugamer & @Shadowmage: I've tested in 1.8.1 (without any other visual mods) and would not recommend. It starts up ok and looks good in static scenes, but there are weird artifacts in flight scene and big lag when splashing. I'll just have to grit my teeth and update to 1.9!

Colonizing Earth 2.0 In Scifi... How Would You Do It?
Nightside replied to Spacescifi's topic in Science & Spaceflight
I personally love The vintage SF peppering that site, but I agree many pages are more flavor than content. -
It looks like this will be the push I need to move to 1.9.1. (I'm not running Kopernicus). Thanks @Shadowmage!!!

No, Falcons steer away from obstacles. probably for stability due to the wind conditions Elon mentioned.

In this interview Nate says release before March 2021. So the question is: which will launch first KSP2 or SLS1?

It also relies heavily on the Stennis facilities. -
Welcome to the forums @DFCMA! You can delete stuff you don't want in Kerbal Konstructs, but I would recommend heading to it's thread for questions. If you want the functionality of PAPI, without the stuff, you might like this:

[WIP] Nert's Dev Thread - Current: various updates
Nightside replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
These look great, and would be much appreciated. I've always just upsized the 1.25 meter parts with a patch to get 1.875. At this size I can make the Russian end of the ISS look believable with only SPRX and NF parts. As far as adapters, the main thing I found lacking is a spherical docking port node. Thanks for your work! -

NG bought Orbital ATK just for those stylish round solar panels, am I right? -

Bad science in fiction Hall of Shame
Nightside replied to peadar1987's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Maybe they have a leak in their gravity field tank. I had a car that leaked oil and all kinds of crap got stuck to it. I imagine that the principle is the same. -
What are people using for boat mods these days? I'm not really interested in heavy naval stuff, more small-to-midsize civilian or coast guard-like stuff. Any suggestions?

Has anyone been using this in 1.9?

[1.12.x] Near Future Technologies (September 6)
Nightside replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
You could make a Module Manager patch for the antenna parts. I would guess that there are patches in the Remote Tech mod folder you could use as an example. -
The Best Rocket For Landing Scifi Thrusters

I think you can get by with less than a 10% fuel/total mass ratio, with plenty of margin left over.
