So basically they need to be giant stand-up paddle boards.

So, I've been daydreaming of a mod to create stick-on greebles. It would work more or less like the sticker mods out there, but the models would also have normal maps. These parts would be physicsless and non-functional, just cool looking little details such as tank raceways and other little pipes and bumps. Ideally these would be able to be attached to parts of various sizes and shapes. Can anyone with more knowledge say whether or not this idea is actually possible in KSP?

Well you don't actually need to make your own 3D models, you can just mashup existing models in the configs. -

Does the entire plane need to be larger or just the engine? couldnt you just combine the engine model with the hollow fuselage to form a new part representing the turbine and exhaust parts of the engine? -

They were still showing up in the map, and VAB launch button for me. Maybe I have an outdated version of kscswitcher though.

If anyone is playing RSS with the Making history expansion, you may like this patch to turn off the stock launch sites. Does anyone know if it is possible or necessary to do a NEEDS block for the expansion? @Kopernicus:FOR[RealSolarSystem] {removeLaunchSites = Island_Airfield, Desert_Launch_Site, Desert_Airfield, Desert_GroundObjects, Woomerang_Launch_Site, Woomerang_GroundObjects}

@Pappystein and @tater, I would guess that the contract is checking for the stock solar panel module, not just if the station can produce power. The last time I checked, SSTU used a custom solar panel part module.

Thanks, that makes sense, I think I was expecting to need to use larger tanks for those engines. I may patch the fusion pellets into a larger tank for aesthetic purposes. If anyone is curious, this is what fusion pellets look like: -

Thanks for the update Nertea! I've been playing with the Z-pinch rockets and I have a question: Are they missing propellant? I see they consume fusion pellets for fuel but nothing for propellant, such as lithium. Is this intentional or am I (very likely) misunderstanding how this drive system works?
