  1. There is already a mod that does this on spacedock. https://spacedock.info/mod/734/imkSushi's renaming the Sun to Kerbol Mod It's a simple kopernicus cfg. all I googled was "rename Sun to Kerbal KSP" and one of the first things in the results was this mod. not sure how you couldn't find it. There is even a thread in the forums for this mod.
  2. Pretty much. It uses one the stock potato biome maps. We just never got around to making one for Lili. does Tellumo's rings always look that transparent? Maybe I haven't noticed since I use an very dark skybox
  3. I wouldn't mind making it realistic looking, I just don't know exactly what it would really look like
  4. This is an issue with OpenGL (Mac and Linux) and how the mod is structured. It won't be fixed until the dev decides to make the necessary changes. You can read this comment from a few pages back: I feel this should be a pretty high priority for @StarCrusher96 because as of right now, the mod alienates all Mac and Linux users. I'm sure it will be addressed soon
  5. What mods are you using there? Is that a full scale RSS or is it SSRSS? I see ground textures that SSRSS use
  6. Well I'm unfollowing this thread until the issue is fixed. I have recieved another 5-6 notifications in the last 45 minutes.
  7. Over and over. Very annoying. Glad it's not just me though. Thought I broke something. @Red Iron Crown You know what is going on?
  8. Grannus was only implemented as a point in which an expansion could happen. Unfortunately, due to limitations in KSP/Kopernicus and multiple stars, Grannus has basically become a pointless star, that messes with solar panels. Besides curiosity, there isn't much reason to venture there yet
  9. I am continually getting notifications from this thread, but it's the same comment every time. Perhaps me commenting will fix it. Dumb forum software...
  10. Post your output log and a screenshot of your gamedata folder. If you need help figuring out where to get the logs necessary for help, see this thread
  11. Glad it worked out! I couldn't test it I'll unfortunately be away from ksp for another 3 weeks or so. I had to throw that together blindly
  12. I do remember you commenting on SVE but I was very busy at the time and couldn't respond. I must have let it slip my mind. The current settings in SVE are what I thought was the most bang for your buck. I am a really bad judge on performance though, as my computer scoffs at SVE. My reccomendation is to remove the polar snow node from the SVE cfg, if there is one. I can't remember and I'm not at a pc ATM. If you use scatterer, I would also recommend disabling the ocean shaders on the main menu (don't forget, it requires a restart). The ocean shaders are the most performance hungry aspect of Scatterer. As for those two values in the cfgs that you brought up, they can indeed be decimals, however setting them too low will result in ugly visualS. Ultimately, it just takes a lot of fooling around to get a good mix of pleasing aesthetics and performance.
  13. @Snark If you used the Known Issues fix posted earlier it had some discrepancies. I have fixed them and uploaded it here. https://www.dropbox.com/s/hqm8qgmk4nba1ln/GPP_KnownIssues01.zip?dl=0 Try that and see if the issues with scatterer go away. @JadeOfMaar if this works, please replace the link in your comment
  14. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I did not know there was a hotfix file posted. After looking at it, I noticed Grannus has incorrect directories in its config. @JadeOfMaar it looks like you didnt change the texture directories inside of the config to match the latest official release. Instead the directories look at the dev version directories.
  15. You cannot use RSSVE and SSRSS at the same time.. SSRSS has its own visual cfgs bundled into the mod in the clouds(optional). Just install that folder, EVE, and Scatterer and you will have clouds and atmospheres. In the SSRSS OP, it says that SSRSS has support for EVE and Scatterer and I provide links.
  16. Perhaps post your logs and a screenshot of your gamedata. Looks like you installed SVE at one point. That sun flare is not from RSSVE
  17. If you PM blackrack, he will be more than happy to help. He is quite possibly the most approachable modder I have met here. He does like logs so don't forget to have those ready to go. I am curious as to why it is happening as well.
  18. Direct editing is a no no for a couple reasons. For example: if you ever decide to play the stock bodies again, you may forget you changed things. This may cause players to show up to other threads asking why everything is borked. Also, unless you have a back up of all of squads default part cfgs, you will have to either re download the game or verify its integrity to get the correct values back in those cfgs. To avoid this, use a module manager cfg. That way, none of squads cfgs are actually touched. direct changes just have the potential to cause a lot of headaches or the player and other modders. If you know what you are doing, and make proper back ups, it's fine to do, but most people don't do that, then blame mods when they forget they made changes themselves.
  19. So, you are annoyed that somebody hasn't answered your question that you could have answered yourself? From what I read, you just had questions about compatibility with other mods. Just try the mod with the other mods you want. If they work, great. If not, oh well. Anything that works with RSS should work with SSRSS. Look, mod devs don't get paid to do this and we have lives outside of KSP, believe it or not. I have a wife, kid, school, a job and have been extremely busy. I am not obligated to answer anybody's questions and if I wanted to, I could pull support of this mod and wouldn't have to give an explanation. I understand people have questions, and I do my best to answer them when I have time. I don't need people coming here and complaining about the service times of a free mod. For anyone wondering, I am in the Army and I am taking part in an exercise over the next 3-4 weeks. I can't provide much troubleshooting besides looking at logs. So, expect longer than normal wait times when asking for help. This is incorrect once again. If you have a boulderco folder in your game, it is disabled by SSRSS, so you can delete it. Also, if you have a boulderco folder, that means you have cfgs and textures that aren't being used that are just adding more work to your CPU for no reason. Even after me explaining this to you multiple times, you still continue to tell him you need the boulderco folder. Don't mind me though, I'm only the developer. BoulderCo is not needed. If you accidentally install it, it is disabled by SSRSS to avoid conflicts between cloud configs. I can't make it any clearer than that.
  20. Yeah, as you likely know, a lot changed from .0256 to .0300 especially in the cfgs. I'm away from home and my pc for the next 3 weeks so I can't be of much help, but perhaps, post your logs and @Poodmund or someone else can take a look to see what the issue is. Although, I know you are super capable at doing the same, multiple eyes looking can only be a good thing.
