So what you are saying is that even if you fail, a video is being recorded? Succeed or fail, a video would be cool

[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Install Scatterer -
They are in an asset bundle. They are not super easy to get to as you need to get a unity asset extraction program.
-
Yes it was really the scatter. 0.7 fixed the Scatter performance issue. If you are experiencing lag with ships now, it’s not JNSQ.

[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Terrain [v2.2.0] [20 March 2019]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
SVE is just clouds... not terrain. SVT and SVE are not the same thing and can be used separately. They do not change the same things so they won’t overwrite anything to either.- 1,019 replies

I run dx11 pretty exclusively, and havent had any issue besides what is known regarding that. I havent used TU with JNSQ yet but I see people talk about using it with JNSQ quite often so I dont suspect there are any issues
-
Oh, I know, and I'm not directing that at you. I was just explaining our thought process when asking people to do something as inconvenient as deleting their settings cfg and resetting it. It may not be ideal, but it keeps us from having to tell people 1000 times how to just delete the nodes.
-
Its a pretty hard requirement for the latest update, unless you enjoy crap performance. JNSQ and Kopernicus write to your settings cfg. They adds the terrain detail settings that you see in the main menu (JNSQ_Low/Medium/High) which definitely impact performance. What you can do is delete all the JNSQ terrain nodes in the settings cfg to avoid deleting the entire thing and just reselect your prefered terrain detail settings upon the start of a new game. For those that have no clue how to do that, it easier for them to delete the entire cfg and rebuild their settings. We don't have time to hold users hands, and that's really why we ask people to just rebuild their settings, especially for this update. Beyond this update, it shouldn't be necessary. No because the old settings nodes persist even when you choose another terrain detail setting. The nodes need to be removed or you have to delete the settings cfg.

I have no idea what is wrong. Try a fresh install of everything. Perhaps even a fresh install of KSP if all else fails

The settings cfg does that because every time you start up KSP it rewrites the settings cfg, and the names are not recognized beyond the first initial load. If you look in your settings cfg, you’ll see that your choice for settings is still correct. So don’t worry about it saying “new text”
-
Definitely gonna need logs and screenshots. This is the first issue posted regarding visual bugs, so there is definitely something not right.
-
I do miss Scatterer looking that that too. The white caps really made a big difference
-
The new ocean is in the latest version. It’s done via Kopernicus, so there is no extra work to be done. Scatterer just can’t be present, obviously
-
My updated ocean settings/textures are ugly? Scatter is just as as stable as it was back in the day. There are the occasional crashes unfortunately. It not exclusive to JNSQ
-
Thanks! Would you say that the performance is acceptable, or comparable to stock with the same mod loadout?
-
@Rettehick Mirror - Google Drive There you go! I don't know if it will be any better, but maybe!
-
Sorry for the delay, but the old flare is now available for download in the assets list on Github. https://github.com/Galileo88/JNSQ/releases/download/0.7/Old_Flare.zip
-
SVE is pretty darn comparable to the visuals in JNSQ if you run those.
-
Can you try that same install without JNSQ and compare for me?
