  1. Well considering Scatterer breaks now when a change is made to the EVE GUI, I would have to suggest opening your cheat menu alt+f12 (or something like that), and show the biomes. It will give you a representation of where the ground is.
  2. you don't have to crash to produce a log. I need your output log.
  3. UPDATE v2.0.2 Better texture compression for smaller download size A couple new textures DDS version for better utilization of RAM PNG version for Mac and Linux users Removed low resolution version after much testing and minimal performance gain reported. DOWNLOAD
  4. UPDATE Change Log 1.1.6 Update to latest Scatterer v0.0300 Fixed polar pinching with some textures Hopefully found a good middle ground with Laythe's Scatterer atmosphere If you don't want cloud shadows, use this patch: NO CLOUD SHADOWS Download Links For 1.2 version 1.1.6 Some quick screenshots of what to expect
  5. If you get a warning that SVE is out of date, ignore it. I have updated for CKAN and am working on uploading the All-In-One version.. it has failed twice so i may have to try tomorrow. Edit: finally uploaded. See below
  6. It's because there is too much color in the skybox. DOE needs more negative space (darkness, blackness) for it to look right. Otherwise, you can see dimming even in the color
  7. He has DOE installed....... i can replicate the dimming... DOE is just doing its job. it just doesn't look right with your skybox. Either turn off dynamic dimming or remove distant objects
  8. Logs? mod list? screenshot of your gamedata? Ckan causes some weird things to happen. Did you install SVE by chance and the latest scatterer? if so, they do not work together currently and you need to install it manually.
  9. scatterer is extremely dependent on the sun. Lag should NOT be happening on your rig at all. Go take a look at Kerbol Star sytem planet pack... it has several stars and uses scatterer.. smooth as butter. make sure your sun cfg is correct, using the correct names and what not... if you havent made the required changes to the cfgs then you will experience an almost unplayable game @blackrack would it be possible to make the "integrate effects with EVE clouds" option a per planet type of thing as opposed to a blanket effect? Some planets just will not cooperate when it comes to volumetric clouds.. depending on the .half files available, some clouds, when transitioning color on the terminator, get WAY over saturated with color, but lowering the value in the GUI just causes the clouds to be brown or black. This is even the case with default scatterer, most prevalent on Laythe. I have basically given up at this point and would really love to be able to disable the effect on individual bodies. EDIT: one more thing, i noticed that with the eve integration, I can no longer change the color of the clouds in scaled space. The atmosphere color seems dictate the color of the clouds. changing the RGBA values in the EVE have zero effect even after restarting. I used to have a 2 tone cloud set up on EVE but it looks like ill have to settle for a monotone purple cloud layer. I love this update but i hate it too lol... growing pains blow
  10. Well the thing is, we thought that cfg that was floating around was already made a part of kerbalism.. we thought GPP was already compatible because of that lol we will fully include support unless GPP becomes compatible by default in kerbalism first
  11. open the sun.cfg in the SVEKopernicus folder and change the sunLensFlareColor to sunLensFlareColor = 1,1,1,1
  12. That's not from your texture being flipped. Even, though you have a tilable texture, there are distinct formations in it which causes it to be noticeably tiled. The entire texture has to be "even" for lack of a better word. Here is my Dres in my SVT dev version. You are probably going to need to use a different texture or edit the you have
  13. No does not work. There are other visual mods for RSS just have to search for them
  14. Ok, how about a screenshot? Just saying there is a bug doesn't help us.
  15. SVE DOES NOT WORK WITH THE LATEST SCATTERER. PLEASE USE THE BUNDLED VERSION UNTIL I RELEASE THE UPDATE. I am very busy with real life at the moment. I am a father and a husband with a job first, this mod comes after that, whenever I get time. Please be patient. And for petes sake, do not use CKAN to download! The current situation is exactly why I do not support CKAN. It gets easily confused when mods update with dependencies
  16. No, not currently. Not with what is available. I have seen a few modders attempt a rain shader in the past and fail, whether it was performance crippling, or they couldn't control when it rained, all of them flopped. It has been brought up a few times to @blackrack (our friendly neighborhood shader wizard), but I forget why he hasn't done it or won't. EVE can't do it because it's impossible to force the particles to "fall" only on the z axis. They rotate, which creates a "rain" that defies physics. This is okay for snow, but it still can be noticeable at times and yes I used a cloud particle to create snow.
  17. Yes, it's real. It's in SVE. Rain however, is not possible with EVE. that would take a separate shader
  18. nope because Gael has 0 inclination. Its part of the added challenge with GPP
  19. No the collar ring is part of the kerbal model. It is not a separate model like the helmet is.
  20. Looks like you are not using the 64x bit version of KSP.
  21. I understand where you are coming from , but at the same time, nothing is stopping CKAN users from installing manually. And really, if the CKAN devs wanted to, they could add rangemachines version easily. Why it hasn't been added is beyond me. They have already included other forks of other popular mods on CKAN. I don't know what's different about this one.
  22. I knew you could scale it in scatterer but it's quite a lot to do for those that don't understand how changing configs work. I always assume anyone that downloads this mod is a monkey and I have to make it super simple for them to understand. That typically means doing it for them. Maybe @Sigma88 could look at adding a custom setting within sigma dimensions? So those lacking the know how don't have to worry about it?
  23. The answer for the sun flare wasn't directed at you the comment right above yours was though
