The revised Atlas Launch Stand is almost complete. Little demo of the deploy limit sliders in action with the new BDB Atlas: Just noticed the repositioned right pipe clips a bit into the umbilical mount, will fix that.

Ok, I looked at the new BDB Atlas, and made some changes to the MLP Atlas Launch Stand. I separated the pipes into individual objects, and tweaked the mesh of one, as well as the side umbilicals (lowered the topmost part a few cm as it was just a bit too high). Made deploy limit animations in the X, Y and Z axis for both of the pipes so they can be moved to match the new Atlas skirt's connectors while keeping the stand compatible with the old Atlas. I've also added an additional attach node to the new 3400 Atlas core tank for use with the stand, and adjusted the stand's attach node to put the clamp arms and side umbilicals at the proper location. The updated stand will be released as v2.7 of MLP sometime soon.

I'll have to take a look at it then. Depending on much of a difference there is, I might be able to just make the stand's pipes adjustable with sliders, as they are already separate objects (to enable toggling them off).

It's dead. Private Division was Take2's attempt at publishing "indie" games, trying to capture the Minecraft or Stardew Valley magic. Instead PD made a bunch of mistakes, and got some visually pretty games with lousy gameplay. KSP2 was one of those mistakes. Now Take2 is getting rid of PD and shutting down everything that was in development to cut their losses. Publishers will sit on dead IP for years and years, in many cases just out of spite; "If we can't succeed with it, then no one else will".

Did a point update release, v2.6.2 Revamp of the included craft files. Removed the mod rocket parts to create Bare Assemblies with only the Modular Launch Pads parts. Moved the Stock Examples into a separate folder. Added some RSS-RO examples in another folder Many of the old mod rocket files were becoming broken, and with more getting broken as the mods continue to make major changes to their parts, I didn't want to update them, so I decided to just get rid of the mod parts and leave the MLP parts as a "Bare Assembly". No rocket is included, just attach the assembly to the designated rocket (the Merge function should make this easy). I added another Stock Example file; these use only stock parts and are not meant to be good designs but just to show how to put th MLP parts together. I also added some examples for RSS-RO, ones I've launched in my sandbox RSS-RO install. The craft files are now in their own separate folders under "Craft Files" in the .zip, so you don't put RSS-RO files in a stock install and vice-versa.

They were designed to be a mobile platform, so that's why they only have wheels. The Small base was in fact intended for Atlas V and Ariane 5, both of which use a mobile platform.

Not doing that, sorry. Put this in the "do it yourself" category.

Oh yeah, forgot that the skirt was a decoupler already. In that case, you wouldn't need Staged Animation, but a regular animation and use an action group for the launch (launch stand, GSE doors and any tower stuff), something I do frequently and am comfortable with, but which may be too much for a lot of players.

You must have some other mod or mods causing that problem, as I don't have that issue even with a full RSS-RO-RP-1 install.

The old general bases are still in v2.6, just hidden, so existing craft files will still load; they still have the same internal part names.

Yep, just don't use the craft files that are broken. I think I'm going to remove all the mod parts from the MLP craft files, and just leave the launch base and towers in a bare version, ready to attach the rocket it is named for. I have no desire to go through all those craft files to see what mods have breaking changes. Probably will leave the Cormorant and SOCK (reDIRECT) files as is though, and maybe add a SOCK one with ORANGES-Photon-RMM.

Those craft files are old now, and changes in the mods they use may break them, which I am guessing happened with Tundra.

ModuleColliderHelper is from Collide-O-Scope, that warning can be ignored.

Just google KSP and the mod name and it will give you the link to the forum thread. Or look on Spacedock

If you mean the craft files included with MLP, most use BDB. Tantares and TantaresLV for the Soviet craft files. Tundra Exploration for the SpaceX ones. KNES, Dodo Labs, Cormorant, Chrayol, Taerobee, SOCK for all the rest. There are also some examples using stock parts. The mod names are in the craft file titles.

Make sure the root part is not the launch base. Other than that, leave it off to see the delta-V figures, or use Kerbal Engineer Redux or Mechjeb instead.

Classic KSP1 online
AlphaMensae replied to Kerballlistic07's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
The old thread that Kerbalsaurus posted is dead. Use the links in this thread to find the old free versions of KSP: -
It's the split rudder (like the IRL one) in SOCK that FAR hates. Most RO users of SOCK replace the SOCK vertical stabilizer with two of the ones from Space Shuttle System (the old DECQ shuttle), placed in mirror symmetry side-to-side, or something like that. There might be some clipping involved. There may be other issues for FAR as well, but the rudder is the main problem.

Yes, BDB will not work with RO. The important parts of it, namely the crewed spacecraft and engines, are already included in the mods ROCapsules and ROEngines. Some people have made RO .cfgs for some of the other parts, they're floating around on GitHub, but not part of RO. Also, those craft files from Modular Launch Pads will not work in RO either. Heck, that Saturn V file is from v2.2 of MLP, and it won't work with the newer post-Saturn update of BDB. You simply can't use stuff designed for stock KSP in RO.
