I play Universe Sandbox2 also, for those moments when KSP is too time-consuming to be worth spending ten or so minutes on.

So, after seeing how everybody here is doing better than me, I decided to try again. Using elements stolen from @JebsDead (basic layout of the boosters) and antennas from @Mesklin, I got a score of 40 seconds. Not perfect, but better than my last attempt by a quarter of a minute. On the launchpad: The three outer boosters all feed into the two directly attached to the middle, and those two feed the empty fuel tank above the Vector. Reaching hypersonic: Overheating but protected by the antennas (how does that even work?) After forty seconds of terror for Mallong Kerman, space. And finally, a quote which I think is appropriate for my rocket: " If you steal from everybody, it's called research" -Tom Lehrer

Searching the sky for other nearby planets, you think Eeloo Dres must be lonely out here by itself. Maybe we should pay it a visit and cheer it up a bit.

What is the user above you known for?

Known for... Determination. -
My first attempt: It's a pile of onion-staged boosters: Got to 70 km in 55 seconds. Riding on a column of fire: Lost the Fleas and the Hammers, reaching hypersonic: SPAAAAAAACE! (You can see the MET time = 55 seconds)

Your text is hard to read because... you don't have eyes that see in the right spectrum! BLAME EVOLUTION! All navigation is lost from your 750-kerbal station heading into solar orbit.

It's a-Pol-ing that people haven't posted in this thread for almost a week! I just Duna-t believe it!

Finally! A use for my restaurant! Now I just have to make an outdoor deck for it...and bring it, the deck, and 10 or so kerbals to the Mun...should be fun!

Why have just one nuke, when you can have thousands? Image credit: Wikipedia

Funnily enough, after posting this thread, I can't reproduce it anymore. If I get this bug again, I will post it. It seems to be most common in my asparagus staging.

My first post was an (accidental) necropost on a thread about "What music do you play when your kerbals die?" I'm not sure, but since more people posted after me, I think I may have revived the thread. Maybe.

Sometimes, when I attach two parts with a strut in a way that they're maybe not supposed to be connected, the strut looks fine in the VAB but sticks out at a 45 degree angle when I launch and when I revert back. Is this a known bug and can it be fixed?

WARNING! THE MAGIC BOULDER IS A HIGHLY FLAMMABLE OBJECT! CONTACT WITH ANY OF THE PARTS LISTED BELOW CAN CAUSE FIRE AND/OR EXPLOSIONS!

Does this change the graphics? From what I see in the pictures, the Mk.1-2 Command Pod looks pixelated and blurry. Is that because of something else, or is it a side effect of this mod?

You can calculate pi by imagining a square inside a circle. Now imagine raindrops that will all fall inside the square, randomly. Some fraction of them will also fall inside the circle, a fraction which we can calculate by looking at ca (circle area) over sa (square area), or side of square (s)2 over pi x r2. Pi then equals (raindrops that fell in the circle) x s2 divided by (raindrops that fell in the square) x r2. A better explanation can be found here:http://www.eveandersson.com/pi/monte-carlo-circle

Scott Manley got to it. Your base explodes on landing after switching to it.

Did you know, that in some magnetars (neutron stars with huge [1015 Gauss] magnetic fields), the atoms getting pulled away can get warped into cylinders? That is the best piece of knowledge ever.
