It looks like the forum software is carrying over formatting from light/dark modes. It should be fixed by clicking the black bar 'remove formatting' when pasting content into the editor. -

Commercial cargo vans over here often get treated poorly and do major mileage. I'd get a reputable mechanics report on any second hand vehicle I'd buy. New, you're covered by a warranty and often other services like factory supported roadside assistance. You can also get a lot of value from the dealership when negotiating for a new, or new older stock vehicle. Things I always ask for and get are full fuel tank, factory dash and floor mats and in Australia I ask for a 1 year registration instead of the usual 6 months (I'm not sure if this is relevant to your area). Things to avoid are any additives, insurance or coatings offered by the dealership. A diesel engine is more efficient and affordable when moving weight and requires less maintenance than a gasoline powered variant.

Something is definetly wrong with JSI...
James Kerman replied to Joka's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Hi @Joka, your problem has been moved from KSP 1 Discussion to KSP 1 Tech support, modded. -
There are many length and height options and if I were to live in it I would want the most volume, a longer wheelbase just means you need to properly follow lines when turning - going wider than you would with a passenger car (parking at some malls/supermarkets or in the city can be an issue). Recent commercial vans should all come with reversing cameras. In Australia truck stops offer showers and laundry (although some places charge a parking fee) however the spaces are meant for road trains so the mother of all of vans will definitely fit.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation @Spacescifi. I'm an ex trukkie and a car guy and I've lived in vehicles for a lot of my career. Firstly, check around your dealerships, often last years model is available under the same warranty conditions as current and usually at a significant discount. A longer wheelbase van is ideal for camping but the cargo section needs to be as long as you are for a good sleeping base, bed on one side, gear on the other. Online: for around $1,200 to $1,500 you should be able to get a 'house battery' (lead acid deep cycle) with an inverter, a cheap engine charger and mobile refrigerator. For an extra $200 you can get a mobile gas hot water system (also needs power) or you can find truck stops in your area. In Australia it's usually free It's a lot cheaper to set these systems up yourself and I have a lot of experience with 12V DC so if you need help please feel free to PM me.

Welcome to the forum @Anaxagoras! I bought a silly little game, went suborbital and then was flummoxed so I left the game for a while. I started watching youtubes about KSP and realized it was so much more than I understood at the time and I became enthralled. The KSP Subway map + 20% for dV, when going to any new system I always add a stage that can house a few kerbals for rescue missions or a refueling rig for further operations. Depending on your settings it's always good to deploy coms wherever you are going.

Some people get excited when they are a part of historic events so I don't blame the guy. I'd also like to mention that the saying is more out of national pride than religious or political belief. As an Australian I congratulate India and hope this leads to a better scientific understanding of our closest neighbor, the moon.

I can't keep in orbit. Seeking help, not working
James Kerman replied to Tsuki_Me's topic in Welcome Aboard
Welcome to the forum @Tsuki_Me! Rather than using liters of fuel we use delta V (dV), as this is calculated to include the mass of your vehicle as well. There is a readout in the VAB that will show your vessel's dV (please note that you will need to change between atmospheric and vacuum mode for the respective stages of your flight). To get to low Kerbin orbit you'll need a design that has around 3,200 - 3,500dV combined and a reasonably efficient flight profile. Additionally the engines have different efficiencies measured as specific impulse (ISP) and solids have high thrust but low ISP so they are great for getting heavy rockets off the ground but are not as efficient as the liquid fuel types. A good early combination is to have a swivel as your first stage (as it has a high ISP at sea level) and a terrier as your vacuum stage as it has a high ISP above around 15,000m. -
