  1. You know, a dev might come across tis and not treat it as a joke, but actually a good idea.
  2. I suspect its cause some setting is unchecked, like 'Camera Follows EVA Kerbal'. Probably wrong though, but you can at least see if that's the case.
  3. This has been asked to death. From what I remember, the main problem is a working timewarp system. For example, I timewarp to go to Eve for instance. That takes a while, more than a day. But you are on Kerbin flying a jet plane or something. So what do you do? And besides, it's arguable that other areas of the game need to be addressed, such as the lack of a reason to go to other planets.
  4. KerbalX is popular. Dropbox or google drive works, but I highly recommend KerbalX You have to find the craft file. Go to saves, then click the save your craft is in. In that folder, there is a folder marked 'Ships' When you open that folder, you have to click the place where your ship is saved. After clicking through that, you find your craft file. Which you can just upload
  5. Yay! Not so yay. Take it easy, and recover soon. More emphasis on the take it easy.
  6. Yeah. Sometimes you can see it from the space center, cause of the 0 inclination things. Not actually too interesting after a while, and there aren't many effects,
  7. And this is why I'm a fan of the shuttle sandwich. Very simple, classical, and no tinkering needed! As a note, its probably possible for someone with kOS wizardry to write such a script. That could be cool...
  8. Yeah! And just in time it seems, according to the weekly devnotes, to upgrade again or something SoonTM to 1.3.1! Of course depending on mods.
  9. Yeah, although I'm not sure how well a piece of plastic would work against stopping a laser.
  10. Pictures help with design advice From my experience with shuttles (using random images from earlier) *No, not necessarily. Exhibit A) Shuttle uses rhinos, LF boosters (4 of them) use mammoths. * Again, maybe. Depends on the design (Exhibit B) * True, but sometimes cases exist for higher thrust times. (Same thing as Exhibit A) * Again, not necessarily. One of my shuttle designs showcased needs its engines to fire at launch, the other doesn't. (BTW, if you are interested, in the one design where the shuttle engines are not fired, it works because the angled vectors help shift the CoT to the CoM) In conclusion, these assumptions can all be true or false with certain designs.
  11. They have a laser blaster in their left pocket. They use that to shoot the plaque and engrave it like you would do with a laser cutter/engraver
  12. So cute and small. I might have to borrow this design.....
  13. Or clip a couple fuel tanks in the front, and transfer excess fuel to there. Ore tanks, just hard ballast, could work too.
  14. Increasing the ride height led to certain control issues. One - it starts to roll through a corner at 30+ m/s. 2 - When mid air, it doesn't track nice and straight. Does in theory work though.
  15. No..... - I just looked up the history on wikipedia. And I believe not.
  16. Technically speaking, nuclear power came before ion engines. Project Rover, a plan to make a nuclear rocket started in 1955. The first successful ion thruster was in 1959, with solar panels on probes appearing the year before. However, the NERVA program came in 1961. So hmm. If this is following a historical progression, it should be Nuclear, solar, electric. But in all honesty, IDK when the stuff appears.
  17. Only slight issue is that school is a thing. I'm sure many people would like to see the eclipse and interact, but some of the younger members would be excluded. Myself likely included.
  18. This is a minor complaint, but I'm kinda sick of cars after spending 3 days in one. Actually more like 30 hours over 3 days. The first hour is fine. The second, a bit worse. By hour 3 your butt hurts and aches. Worth it for an eclipse though.
  19. Again sunny and warm. Also discovered I have paper wasps camping on my window.
  20. Good chapter as always. But, that's probably the creepiest picture I've seen in a while. Its the eyes..... its almost anime like.
  21. 1) Yes, to my knowledge 2) Probably 3) @EnderKid2 said it, there is a decouple heat shield option in the menu. Or you could use decouplers 4) Blocking the engine like this will eliminate thrust.
  22. ummmm last time I checked, jets don't work on duna. This might be related to your problem. The number of air intake doesn't matter. Nukes though. Works pretty well, considering how little of an atmosphere there is.
