  1. character limit is 5 now, so I could say my favourite old game is DOOM!
  2. This looks like it may be involved in some way.
  3. Yes players can do that Pds314, and then they'd be competing on the third scoreboard, this isn't a challenge for efficiency and most points, it's an excuse for a bit of fun and trying new designs
  4. Nice planes Lhathron the Elf and Red Iron Crown, thanks for taking part Seaplanes are cool Jakalth, and it's fine to jettison parts at launch, your airborne stats (with full fuel load) are what's needed for the entry, oh and calculated distance isn't real distance
  5. Posters in this thread are advised to brush up on the community rules and good conduct guide, both of which can be found below. Arguments over 64bit don't belong here, you're reminded to stay on topic X2 I'll just get the guys to help me clean this mess up, and there we go.
  6. Or just use someone else's there's plenty of identities to choose from...
  7. Hi HW_Hack, we'll try to help, your KSP.log would help a lot so would updating module manager, the one you are using is very old. /home/user/.config/unity3d/Squad/Kerbal Space Program/ is the path Unity uses for the KSP player.log on *buntu systems so should be working, though why you can't access it via the terminal I don't know, is Nautilus not an option for you? The decoupler lives in /Kerbal Space Program/GameData/Squad/Parts/Utility/decouplerRadialTT-38K/ I know from my own Linux KSP install that the decoupler doesn't cause issues under normal conditions, so we need to find out what is happening to you, if you're running the x64 binary you will want to delete the settings.cfg and run KSP with LC_ALL=C as the location fix was not applied to the x64 build.
  8. Hmm it looks to me that stock planes don't need much changed to at least fly badly in FAR, and yours still takes off so they can't be that dissimilar
  9. "Sorry I can't come to work today, my car is beachballing"
  10. Maybe these will help How to design, build and test small liquid fuel rocket engines. Solid propellant rocket motor design and testing. OpenRocket.
  11. Plenty of bumps and scrapes when manoeuvring around stations and bases, so glad that Kerbal paint is stronger than their launchpads
  12. This suggests your driver is supporting OpenGL but not DirectX, at least not correctly, your Dxdiag output would show exactly what driver you have and if all DirectX components are installed, you could also try "-force-d3d11" as well, if you are using an OEM driver supplied with your laptop it may be missing DirctX9. The DirectX redistributable can be found here.
  13. You know, I thought "Stupid is..." would be the hardest to make fly, at least without sticking something on those exposed nodes.
  14. Trouble is, even fading saturation isn't "good enough" for some players, and while reaction wheels do get hot, linking their function to heat isn't realistic enough. You really cannot please everyone all of the time... RCS is great for lots of things, R-wheels will only rotate you after all, and it's not unheard of for satellites to have no rotational control. Oh and fixing SAS hold is on the todo list, no need for even more modes
  15. I knew Kasper should have linked to a Fanworks thread for this, every one of these has to be approved :/ Your post is live TheRedCow, really nice work!
  16. Hehe, It can be, this challenge is just for some fun rather than anything official with any sort of prize, It'd be a boring place for moderators if we had to stay aloof and couldn't contribute in some way Your signature image is linked in the opening post.
  17. Yep, doing it now Edit: Done, you forgot 1 extra point for having a Kerbal!
  18. -38 You negative guys would make Green Iron Crown proud...
  19. Weight includes fuel The Bard, and thanks for taking part, negative scores are fine
