Nice entries Fenya and Starhawk I admit this challenge has turned out to be geared more for long distance rather than size, and I can fix that for next time but I'm not the sort to go changing rules part-way though and spoil anyone's fun, If I had we'd not have seen just how far such small craft as those presented here could really be made to go. Restrictions can take the fun out of things, keep it simple, that's the key As for Tank, he was trying for a while in IRC and his craft looks like it can do it, though you'll notice that for his entry and your own, the highest speed achieved is strangely only 750m/s so I think there's a few bugs in the flight log, and his last pic shows an elapsed time of zero so he must have left the scene and returned. It's also possible his total MET was 1 day, 0 hours 38 minutes and 24 seconds, but I doubt that, I'll ask him about it Edit: Something is afoot!

There's a few issues with the patcher on Linux currently, I can't remember it ever working for me to be honest, so I recommend you download the full zip.

Hmm, couple of things in the log... Memory yes but not what I first thought, a few lines later there is... And right before the crash I find... Then.. And then lots of... So it's possible that the Smokescreen dll is causing this.

Not heard of this one before, it may be a Unity3D thing but even so, it seems very strange, as Vxx says it'd help to know where you have KSP installed and it'd also help to see your logs, the sticky threads have info on where to find these and how to post the contents

Criticisms are not a problem as long as those criticisms are constructive, with a playerbase as large as KSP's there will be people at either end of the spectrum from rabid fans to the deeply skeptical. Individuals of either end are just as entitled to express their views, whether others like to hear it or not.

If there's an aeroplane attached to that ladder it should be fine, I don't think you'd get much extra performance from the jetpack in Kerbins atmosphere though But can your attention hold out long enough?
