  1. I think I saw this before actually, but it was when I had the point light sources turned to max, the lights (and the fire effect) really pan my gfx card :/
  2. I think you're overdoing the explanation there Red Jet engines are more fuel efficient than rocket engines by a large margin, both in real life and in KSP so fuel use with jets will be a lot lower.
  3. I'd quite like a two Kerbal passenger can in 1.25 metre size, a mini-hitchhiker if you will. Essentially a FL-T400 with windows
  4. Welp, may as well pack up and close this thread, Regex figured it out :/
  5. Hi Mastermind and welcome to the forums I have not personally run into this issue but it may be fixed by deleting the settings, cfg file then starting KSP from the terminal with the LC_ALL=C command, like this: LC_ALL=C ./KSP.x86_64
  6. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/94268-WIP-Inigma-s-KSP-Essentials-Mod-Pack?p=1427306&posted=1#post1427306 This is why.
  7. Looks like I have to step in here... Even though no rules have been expressly broken, this thread has generate a lot of controversy and I can't see it getting any better going forward. Now, packs of addons have been done before, the most famous of which is the Novapunch pack, but these were put together by modders either working together on the pack or the creator of the parts was contacted and their permission was granted before inclusion. Over time Squad has had to update and add to the rules here, including those for addons, and we all need to abide by the wishes of modders when using or redistributing their works. If a modder doesn't want his stuff shared around and changed, he can release it as All Rights Reserved, this is in fact the defacto standard license if no other can be found. So what does this mean for modpacks? It means they aren't impossible or unwelcome but permission has to be granted for every addon that is a part of it, and just as with the addon rules, the licenses for all parts must be present in both the zip and on the forum page where it can be found. Of course, with something as complex as a pack, it becomes necessary to have proof of permission as well, so there will need to be a file showing permission from all contributors, ideally it should be part of the license(s). So that's where we are now and where this thread comes to an end, by all means make modpacks, but only if all contributions are permitted by the addon license or permission is expressly given by the modder. And do this before any release.
  8. Hellion13 should seek legal council from an actual solicitor, this thread is going way outside the bounds of a space game forum. It's best that this ends here, before someone says something they shouldn't.
  9. Discussing piracy is against the forum rules guys, so it's best to re-rail this thread okay
  10. It's so sad to see Doublefine do this, I guess there won't be a sequel to Psychonauts now :/ Also glad I didn't buy DF-9. I've had more than my moneys worth from KSP so far and I'm convinced Squad will see KSP to its conclusion, I'm actually more concerned that Squad may suffer the same fate of Mojang and be a one hit wonder. (Don't sell to Microsoft Squad)
  11. Guys, please continue in this thread, it's close enough to this topic while being less mouldy Closing!
  12. It's always god to see new pilots theJesuit, welcome to the forums
  13. Very nice Firehawk85, I like it
  14. It actually sounds like a badly calibrated joystick, have you tested without SAS? What addons have you installed?
  15. There's an addon that puts resources in the asteroids, but not water, though it can be edited to add water
  16. You can also edit the name in the persistent.sfs if it really bugs you
  17. I think it'll run okay, the Linux version of KSP works pretty well now so there's no reason why we wouldn't see it available on the Steambox. Controls may be the only big hurdle, but if the Steambox version is shipped with a preconfigured settings.cfg for the Steam controller then it should be fine
  18. I build station just for the look of the thing mostly, and as docking destinations as docking is fun Ground bases however are great for precision landing practice, that's quite a bit harder and more fraught with danger, so is even more fun
