  1. Love Mun missions, thanks for sharing yours Nessus
  2. I think it has been officially adopted now, though it's still a sun
  3. It might yet be And today I tried to land a rover on Duna, and hit at 20m/s, so yeah, not successful.
  4. Without pics and your craft file there's nothing we can do to help, sorry.
  5. Welcome to the community kelmv Maybe consider a probe design hat can land at any any angle? If you cover it in ox-stat panels it won't matter if it's upside down.
  6. It's not actually, it's just incapable (at this time) of splitting a thread over two or more cores, but the lions share of the processing is the physics. Unity is multi-core, just not multi-threaded yet. It'll come, as Unity update their framework we'll see improvements in KSP as well
  7. Looks like most of my early flights, and most of my new ones in career mode
  8. If you have any fuel left, shift right-right the tanks and pump it forwards, or fit drogue chutes, or your intakes at the back so drag helps keep you pointing the right way.
  9. As you burn fuel your center of mass gets closer to your center of lift, making you less stable. When your center of mass moves behind your center of lift, your craft tries to fly backwards.
  10. The fun of making and driving them, sourpuss
  11. Doesn't hurt to discuss things, as long as no community rules are broken, and no-one starts moaning that we've heard this before
  12. Multicore can only happen if Unity do it Actually Unity and KSP do support multiple cores, but cannot (yet) run a thread across two or more cores, so the physics hammers one core and the other(s) have little to do...
  13. A lot of UI changes, especially to improve usability for new payers, make things easier for all players, language localizations (most likely spanish) and even enhancements for the colourblind are all planned for the late stages of KSP's development, but we're a while from there yet. Romfarer will be testing new UI elements with every release, so expect some wonderful stuff from him
  14. Career is very new and unfinished, but it's been geared towards new players so yeah it's a good place to start, as you have fewer parts to begin with and are less overwhelmed
  15. They are very small and light, with good efficiency, so make nice engines for Apollo style LM's
  16. You are missing a purchase value in the part.cfg if I remember correctly, without that it won't work
  17. It's been asked yeah, but there's no info, it's internal to Squad. I guess we'll know one day, after 1.0 maybe
  18. If you're on the flat, you can push anything as there's no real friction, just air resistance. Uphill though? Forget it.
  19. QA lead would be Ted, but he's also got a lot on his plate as they say.
  20. I think all parts should have a "broken" state, which a Kerbal can repair, possibly with tools. Break something too much though and yeah it should go boom, so you may have a part of your craft overheat and explode, damaging the parts around it.
  21. They will be coming back, don't worry, and I and the other mods will poke Felipe and Chad to do some new blogs when they are in the office tomorrow
  22. You aren't in the atmosphere that long, is it long enough to really notice a difference? And as FellipeC says, they help with stability, less drag up front means you are less likely to flip over.
