  1. Linux user here, running KSP with a HD4580, it's not my graphics slowing m down I think, it's the physics in Wine, this will change when Unity3d version 4 is released (I hope).
  2. This works for all deceased Kerbals, you can even have multiple identical crews if you reset to 0
  3. bads does not affect their live/dead status, "state" does that, 0 is ready to be chosen as crew, 1 is in flight, 2 i don't remember, 3 is dead.

Hi VengfeulVermin, the tutorial is a bit boarder in the alpha as it has to cover the aircraft and some other things, but I can help a bit with the navball (its proper name in KSP) there are two yellow/green icons, these show your current direction of movement, and its reverse. The purple markers show the direction towards and away from the lauchpad, well they should but they actually point towards and away from the second KSC on Kerbin in the alpha. The other markings show the angle in degrees you are tilted at, and the angle you are facing, with 0 being north, and 180 being south. The pitch, roll and yaw indicators are not terribly useful most of the time, but in the alpha we have Trim to make flying aircraft easier, with Alt+W you can add up trim, this is reflected in the trim indicator. KSP may run fine for you, but if not you can lower the OceanPQS MaxSubdivisions values in the settings.cfg, there are 3 of these and they are set to 6, by setting them to 3 you will lessen the load on the CPU.   10. Maro, if your pod is on the rover, then all the parts of your rocket that aren't part of the rover are now debris, and can not be used, there is no way yet to reattach them.

  13. Why not both togfox? The book has more detail and explains the ending a lot better then the movie does, but seeing the movie helps me visualize the book.

Hi kodemunky, you can add stages by clicking the little + in the stage bar when in the VAB, try adding an empty stage and drag it to the top of the stage list, then move your chute from wherever it is in that list to the new empty stage. This will ensure that the chute cannot be activated early, and it will be the last part to be activated on your ship, you may have to pless space a few times to get to that last stage but that's no big deal

Guys, KSP is alpha, and riddled with bugs, just because you had a bug with a mod installed does not mean it is down to that mod, I myself have had this activity before with a fully stock install, meaning it is not Kethane related. If you think you have found a new bug, make a bug report in the development board, with persistence files, dxdiag, output_log.txt and any other info you can provide
  22. Shift+mousescroll to zoom out No idea on nuclear propulsion, it'll probably be an add-on. FTL is coming eventually. There will be other stars. We don't know.

Hi Questioner, the code that would support having two craft as one just isn't in the game yet, plus the physics needed to handle moving two docked craft needs to be sorted out, otherwise they would disintegrate pretty quickly. Many add-on developers have tried to do hat you suggest, and the most that can be achieved is some kind of grappling system, which is fine until you try to warp as then the craft go on rails and the physics that handles craft collisions no longer applies, meaning the craft separate. Also, Squad have no intention of releasing a half baked implementation of docking, they feel it is better to get it right and release it whole, KSP is alpha don't forget and this is the stage where major features are added, it'd make no sense for Squad to make half a docking system when they'd have to go back and change it later. Docking is coming, not in 0.17 but some day, and like with everything else in KSP, it'll be ready when it's done
