  1. Try moving the batteries away from the wheels.
  2. On Linux it's the Player.log, which can be found in the /home/username/.config/unity3d/Squad/Kerbal Space Program/ folder. It often has some extra information such as stack traces when KSP crashes, though these are not usually very useful as they show memory addresses, rather than useful error messages, like this. Most of the crashes in Linux, and I suspect on OSX and Windows, seem to be in the custom mono library included with all Unity games, and this is almost always shown as the problem file in the stack trace.
  3. Did you see the pulseaudio fix? It's linked in the OP, but I'll paste it here for you. Support in this case is Unity Technologies, but there is a workaround that can be found here. I mention this as guess what's in your log. So it's likely you need kspflo's fix. pulsenomore.cs pulsenomore.x86 pulsenomore.x86_64 Hope this helps.
  4. Moving KSP to your C drive fixed it? That suggests your OS is interfering with KSP writing or updating files, but as a steam game it should have write permission.
  5. Well it depends, if it's just KSP crashing and you are using AMD graphics hardware then you'll want to start KSP using the -force-gfx-direct command line switch. If Gnome is crashing try a lower resolution, or try this.
  6. Please report issues like this to the issue tracker @lttito, as they will not be handled directly from the forum, thank you.
  7. Hi @lilmp89, the Unity3D engine is sensitive to other software hooked into memory, and several programs are known to cause KSP to crash. The most well known software that causes this is EVGA's PrecisionX 16, Fraps can also cause this when displaying the frame rate of an application. While you don't have these you are using RivaTuner Statistics Server, which hooks into memory and monitors the frame rate, this is a 32bit application which may also explain why it is causing trouble for KSP 64bit. From your logs. Please disable RivaTuner Statistics Server before playing KSP, thank you.
  8. If you unzipped KSP to a protected Windows folder it will not have write permissions for that folder, and your KSP.log will be somewhere in C:\users\application data\
  9. Wow your title was really bad, and could make people browsing the forums believe there are sudden FPS drops in KSP. It sounds like your laptop is now broken, I am not even going to attempt to guess what is wrong if it is under warranty. You should contact the vendor and arrange for a repair.
  10. Guys, try reducing your render quality, also the -force-glcore commend line argument may work for you.
  11. The Unity3D prefs file could have been corrupt. If it doesn't exist yet it is created, but Unity can also fail to detect your screen correctly, if this reoccurs try editing the prefs file, as mentioned by @v8Dave.
  12. Is this an old settings.cfg? Your input devices shows the controller incorrectly. Try moving the file somewhere safe so KSP generates a new one, you should see the full name of the controller.
  13. If you don't want to use KDE, how about xfce? It seems to be unaffected by this issue. It also uses the GTK, so most dependencies should already be satisfied.
  14. It was also a test, on this and other forums the spambots will target sections containing the words "General" and "Discussion" in the title. So now we have the Lounge back, but we'll keep KSP Discussion rather than reverting the name to General.
  15. Ahh oops, the pinning sometimes doesn't "take" if you leave the page too quickly. Fixed.
  16. Mine's a play on the word Salvager, and I used it in EVE online, I thought Sal Vager was more futuristic, and at the time spaces were not allowed, hence the underscore.
  17. Hmm, actually, I prefer this one.
  18. I completely forgot, now's your chance to nominate a thread @Spaceception.
  19. Don't forget, I take suggestions for the TOTM, maybe your fans can give you a vote?
  20. Really good tutorial @A_name Pinned for May!
  21. Criminally overlooked I'd say, but that is now redressed by being the Spacecraft Exchange's TOTM for May!
