Any artists wanna make me a custom flag?
Mr. Peabody replied to Reinhart Mk.1's topic in KSP Fan Works
You can make your own custom flag fairly easily. 1. Download GIMP. (It's free & open-source) https://www.gimp.org/ 2. Find or create the image you desire for your flag and resize it to 256x160 pixels. (px) 3. Export the image. Open the KSP folder and click on "gamadata". Next, click on "Squad". Finally, click on "flags" and export the image into this file. 4. Voila! I hope this helps. Here is a youtube video on how to use gimp, and another on how to make custom KSP flags. -

@ManEatingApe, I must commend you on the the excellent and entirely thorough thread that you have created. Great work! This thread certainly has my endorsement. -
totm march 2020 So what song is stuck in your head today?
Mr. Peabody replied to SmileyTRex's topic in The Lounge
This is perhaps the most beautiful and realistic war song ever composed. It's bloody catchy too. -
He's the best there is. There is no other.

I object. He who slanders Jeb shall be tried for liable.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm pretty simple. All I'd like to see would be slightly more reflective "glass". A dome with triangle patterns like those found on a buckminster geodome would also be great. Providing it's not too much trouble of course.

That's epic mate! It remind me of this: I've never landed a free-falling kerbal on his head, but I often found that landing the kerbal squarely on his boots made him almost invincible. I once landed a kerbal from orbit with only his boots!

Do You Prefer Rockets or Planes More In KSP?
Mr. Peabody replied to Johnster_Space_Program's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Like everyone else, I enjoy launching rockets. But I also really enjoy landing orbiters. It's a blast. -
I came, I played, I heard.

@Vanamonde, I think it's high time that we remove the "new, replacing lost thread" from the title. No one about has seen the old thread recently, indeed I didn't even recognize it's existence. This is what too much Blackadder will do to a fellow...

I suspect that KSP version 1.8 will add bugs to make up for all the good features added in 1.7.

Mr. Peabody replied to SuicidalInsanity's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
I like how the lame duck still took an aircraft down with it in stride. -
SSTOs! Post your pictures here~

FAB We're all still thunderbirds fans at heart. -
It is incredible is it not? I have never attempted anything of that scale so far, save a manned Minmus land and return with caveman tech. The easier levels (easy-moderate) can rapidly be completed without leaving kerbal's SOI. The harder levels are almost impossible and may require several flights beyond kerbal's SOI. I strongly recommend starting with an easier difficulty level to learn how everything works.

We see him here, we see him there; Les Anglais see him everywhere. Is he in discussions or is he in fan works? That demmed ubiquitous @RealKerbal3x. 7/10

The present difficulty is that it is too easy to build an aircraft with the stock aero model and too difficult to build an aircraft with FAR. We need somewhat of a hybrid between the two with a better drag model. One must also keep in mind that this game is 70% launching of rockets. We really don't need that to become any more difficult.
