  1. Looks like I'll be needing to dramatically improve my small scale turboprop skills...
  2. It sounds like CoL. Sometimes you ahve to offset the CoM and CoT to counteract it.
  3. Sorry, I wouldn't want to play through trains and car racing to get to orbital mechanics. It's like forcing you to play LoZ Spirit Tracks before you're allowed to start LoZ Breath of the Wild. (I'm in a Zelda mood)
  4. Mine too. You can only have a maximum of one GAU-8, but only if your plane has at least 2 engines.
  5. That F-18 was a replica converted into a dog fighter, so it's something like 260 parts. Interested to see the Spitfire II fight soon.
  6. How big? Every plane I ran was built in 1.2.2, so none of them had any advantages by being built in the version it was used in.
  7. No, I don't think so. Does it matter? If it makes a big difference, I'll rerun the dogfights.
  8. That looks really good. Are you planning a F-16 after it? I know what you mean about the scale thing. I once built a Tomcat replica, then compared it to the scale of the real F-14, to find it was less than half the dimensions of the real one.
  9. @NotAnAimbots PLFP-113 vs @dundun92s F-10 Striker.
  10. My MiG-17 vs @dundun92s F-10 Striker. I knew it.
  11. sorry @NotAnAimbot, your plane isnt showing up in the SPH. I edited the version and everything, but its just not working. Im going onto @53miner53s Fighter 5 for now. Doh. I was putting it in the wrong save.
  12. Sorry, I should have been more clear. I'm about to run a load of fights, currently it's my MiG vs the F-10 Striker, then the victor of that fighting the PLFP II 3, then the victor of that fighting Fighter 5, then the victor of that fighting the Cessna 680, then the victor of that fighting the Spitfire II.
  13. @dundun92 got it. I'll run it later. I'm not too optimistic about the MiG though, it's a gunfighter and yours has 4 AIM-120s.
  14. Yeah, replicas just don't do too well against planes that aren't other replicas. Sorry about the part count, but it was a 1:1 replica modified into a BDA craft, not the other way round. The stock version is 505 parts with the missiles. I might try build a dedicated stock aero figh... WAIT! F-Tech G6 F-2 Spitfire II https://www.dropbox.com/s/ouwkg7o7npff5iq/F-Tech G6 F-2 Spitfire II.craft?dl=0 Sorry about entering two in a row. (part count is 100, so much less of a strain on your computer)
  15. Assuming the next fight is PFLP vs my F/A-18C Hornet, can I go ahead and run that now?
  16. I can do any entries that don't have part mods besides BDA, but not really anything else. I guess if you really needed it I might be able to create another game folder with part mods.
  17. Balloon the parts away, as long as it doesn't past 300 parts a plane I'm fine with it.
  18. @Joseph Kerman It uses airplane plus, and breaks some of the missile rules.
  19. Catergory: Stock+BDA Dogfights @dundun93 Here it is! I'm aiming for this catergory to be a simple competition to dogfight fighters 3v3 with no ground bases or bombers. Mods: BD Armoury Thats it. Rules: 1. All planes must have a weapon manager and AI pilot. 2. To keep things vaguely realistic, planes have a limit of up to 4 1.25m engines of any type. 3. Plane have a limit of up to 6 missiles, however they can have no more than 4 of one type. 4. I don't want to limit creativity here, but for my computers sake planes have a limit of up to 300 parts each. 5. Planes can have up to 3 guns, or one GAU-8.* All guns must be static. 6. Laser weapons are banned. 7. Each competitor can have only one plane design entered at a time. 8. Dogfights will start at 7500m. *A plane can only have a GAU-8 if it has 2 engines or more. Leaderboard: To start this off I'm going to throw my MiG-17 Replica into the ring. Will anyone dare to challenge this terror of the skies? 1. 2. 3. Oh, by the way, could I enter this into the modern catergory? https://www.dropbox.com/s/cijp3p14oye7ajr/McDonnell Douglas F_A-18C Hornet BD.craft?dl=0 It should work fine in stock aero, and the AI will be able to operate the stock hinges. Procedure for takeoff is normal, except you stage once before turning the engines on.
  20. @Joseph Kerman I don't really have time, (I'm about to start running a stock BDA dogfight challenge, and playing breath of the wild) but your ships are so much heavier than mine a fair fight couldn't really be done anyway.
  21. I think we'll go with option 2 then. Though if anyone has a good idea for a plane PM and we might be able to run that alongside this one.
  22. Ok. Sorry about the persist. I was impressed with the Aqua's armour, its more conventional hull shape was a lot tougher than it looked, compared to the Eos, which armour suffered as I tried to fit it around a plane a plane shape. @Spartwo can you uptdate the leaderboard?
