  1. With the votes in, and the polls closed, I'm happy to announce the winner of the Nuclear Bomber Competition is... @Ozelui's StratoDorito Mk2! Congratulations, you get to choose the next competition.
  2. I don't want any mods in stock. Mods are optional extras, and removing the "optional" bit from that for some mods would just be annoying.
  3. That is honestly tragic. You should start a charity. I'm running Scatterer, EVE, Hyperedit and Vessel Mover in 1.2.2, (the latter 2 for testing things and mucking about) and it takes me about 20 seconds. 1.3 is running BDA, takes 15ish seconds.
  4. SCIENCE! Nice replica @qzgy, does your wing swivel on this?
  5. @dundun92 if you can't enter by tomorrow, can you let me know so I can put the poll up?
  6. Believe it or not, I was thinking about something very similar a few days ago, albeit as a single challenge. I think it has potential, but excess mods scare me away. Ideally for me it would be BDA+Stock+EVE+Scatterer, but that's probably unrealistic. I would be interested in possibly creating a scenario or "mission." However, would it be possible to have a version without FAR? Or a catergory at least. I don't find the stock aero that bad, and FAR breaks all my planes I really like.
  7. I think all electric propellers can go around the world without fuel, and you could just strap solar panels around the engine cowling to rotate with the engine as an extra bearing and power. I'm not sure on this, but I think propellers lose thrust very quickly at mid to high altitudes, which are the only altitudes circumnavigation is bearable time wise. I just don't have the time to enter, sorry.
  8. I don't know if my current car counts, as it doesn't have a boost flap. Would it be ok if I wired the air intakes to the brakes action group, so when you braked it would cut close them and cut power to the engines? Im also thinking about building a tiny kart for this, full on stereotype style. I also have an idea how to get around the fact there are no wheels the right size for it... YES YES YES YES
  9. I don't think you can, but I've only ever used imgur.
  10. I'm pasting it into the computer search bar, is that right? I would reccomend Dropbox if you really want to share the craft file. Pictures would probably be fine, which are a lot simpler to do.
  11. I might be wrong, but dosen't that only work if the file is on your computer? I tried it and it didnt work.
  12. Sorry, I'm not too great with computers, I'm not really sure how to convert that to a Notepad document.
  13. The Battle of Eeloo - Turn 3 taking an Eos, I rendevoused with the Destroyer Shout, and fired a G4H Missile. This knocked off some armour and destroyed a missile, but not much else. Not satisfied with this, I moved back in and launched a G3. At this point, the kraken attacked the Shout, causing the armour to shake violently, and there were some explosions. As I didn't have advanced tweakables on, I couldn't stop it, sorry. The shout had no missiles left, and like the last time the only remaining engine couldnt recieve fuel. There was one bit of ship with control, engines and missiles, but it was running on the probe core battery, which drained within seconds. 14. Yeah, thats referring to @ShadowGoat. I'm just doing my turn now.
  15. How did she break a rib if she's wearing her indstructible spacespuit that can survive drops from orbit?
  16. The tutorial says to just burn around 15km away from the target, but I found that was unreliable. The way I do it is I set up an encounter about 1km away, then just after doing that burn I set up a manuever node at the closest approach, and match the manuever orbit apoapsis and periapsis to the target's orbit within about 1km. This usually leaves you with about 5m/s relative speed, which can be cancelled out easily. Then I do my docking procedure above.
  17. Im looking forward to seeing @sdj64 attack a fleet which hasn't set up yet. And once again, it's up to @ShadowGoat to choose if he forfeits a turn, and no one else.
  18. It's inactive, not dying. It's been inactive before. And how does that mean you can cancel battles at will?
  19. I kinda like the idea of the splayed out white lines in the British flag. Makes it look like it's in motion. COME ON YOU SCOTS!
  20. Sorry, what? That's not how it works. You're not even battling. You don't declare that someone out of a battle that you are not even participating in, when they have a perfectly legitimate reason, even if such a "rule" exists.
  21. SSTOs. And Turboprops. Could never get them to spin fast enough... OP, as long as you can rendevous docking isnt too hard, or atleast my method isnt. I rendevous to about 50-100m, control from the docking ports i need docked, select "target hold" with SAS and tap the throttle. Works every time (don't sue me) and dosent even need RCS.
  22. <whimpers> It's... fine... Spinning out on the runway is a bit trickier to fix. Assuming your Center Of Lift is behind your Center Of Mass and your Center Of Thrust is inline with your Center of Mass, (you can toggle all of these with the three small buttons above the Symmetry button) It's probably something to do with the gear. I would take @CaptainTrebor's advice above, and disable the steering on the rear wheels. A craft file would be very useful. (You can find that in: Your KSP folder>Saves>Your Save>Ships>SPH>Whatever the craft is called, and you could upload with your file sharing program of choice)
