  1. 17 and a half years old. I tested the Demo version on April 5th 2016, then I bought the game two days later.
  2. Hi, is it possible to activate the "entry cost" function in in retrospect? I was not able to find such an option...
  3. The Venus station crew fulfilled this contract: I think the payment is way to overpowered.... And I am playing with only 65% rewards. Then I fueled up the Command Module, transferred all the remaining supplies to it and did the return burn. Bye Venus....I wont see you soon. The next step is obviously Mars
  4. Unlocked the RD-180 engine today, so I made an Atlas V 401 for my RP0 save. Engine layout. Cassini probe serves as test payload It is crazy that the Atlas V is so cheap. Without payload, the rocket costs only 13,000 and the build time is less than 2 weeks. Compared to a Titan 3D (look at page 12) which can get a similar payload to LEO (max 12 tons) is it only a quarter of the price. However due to the single RL10 on the upper stage i only get a TWR of around 0.24. That means it takes 15 minutes to get into orbit!
  5. Today I finally finished the space station by adding the second solar array. One of those arrays costs over 108,000 so they are the most expensive parts of the station. Anyways - this is how it looks now:
  6. I locked the probe on the retrograde marker, this is why it kept firing the thrusters in order to stay exactly on point. Actually the probe would have been stable enough without the RCS.
  7. Today the Jupiter Return Project returned back to Earth. Almost 5 years ago I sent this probe all the way up to Jupiters SOI, and now after a successful reentry it has landed.
  8. I docked two Apollo Command Modules in Low Earth Orbit.
  9. Today I added the first of two solar arrays to my Space Station....., ....placed a satellite in Geostationary orbit using an IUS transfer stage.... ...and I sent a Callisto Lander Probe to the Jupiter system.
  10. Venus Crew SOI switch! Guys get ready for aerobreak! Captured.....after a few attempts. The Intercept with the station took a lot of deltaV. First, I had to correct the inclination (~600m/s deltaV), then I had to match the velocity of both vessels (~750m/s deltaV) and the final intercept burn took another 14 m/s deltaV. Using the RSSVE mod, which adds this thick cloud cover to Venus, means a docking maneuver with 9 FPS. Look how happy they are . They are the first Kerbals to fly-by and enter into orbit around a different planet. The first return possibility is in T-502 days. I will take it because the station has no extra docking port for resupply missions, and they will run out of food, water and oxygen in 876 days.
  11. This 17 ton spy satellite will listen to the whispers in your living room!
  12. This sometimes happens in RSS. In case you are using RTG's, place them away from the probe because they can overheat it. I dont know all of your listed mods, but you could also remove some of the heat mods, because I think it is possible that they trigger such overheating events. The only advice I can give: take a quicksave before loading the vessel. In case it explodes, reload. Then it always works.
  13. Well, actually I am not I am trying to do daily posts in here and I also signed up a while ago ^^. But its nice that you found my profile I had to cut the mission budget. The entire project cost is around 3.5 million, and the actual mission has just started. Hmmm at least they have enough food , and the trip wont take 4 months, looks like they will arrive there in around 100 days. Hahahah not quite sure. Lets hope they wont find out xD
  14. My current active missions (RSS / RO / RP0) : -Neptune Explorer 01 (orbiter for neptune // still underway) -Uranus Explorer 01 (orbiter for uranus // still underway) -Saturn Explorer 01 (first orbiter // still underway) -Saturn Explorer 02 (second orbiter // still underway) -Modular Space station (station in orbit around earth // not entirely finished) -Venus Project (station is already there // crew launched today) -Jupiter Return Project (a probe which went to jupiter and is about to return to earth) -Mars Explorer 02 (orbits Phobos) -Galileo 02 (orbits jupiter) -Galileo 01 (orbits jupiter) -Moon Rover (a rover on the surface of the moon, waiting for the next crew) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am sure I forgot a few missions. So time warping for decades is really not my thing, especially because I am using RP0 and I can compete with NASA. I am always trying to do as many missions as possible
  15. Alright....let's send the crew to the Venus Station!! Launch on this gigantic Saturn C-8 rocket 8 F-1A engines (9100kN each) lifted the rocket off the pad. Stage separation! The 8 HG-3 vac engines completed the orbit insertion. This is the actual spacecraft. Its grey tank is only half filled with fuel (but it has still 3000 m/s deltaV) because it will refuel at the Venus Station. The rest is quite basic, it features science instruments, 4 solar panels, 2 antennas, a heatshield for aerobreak and 250 days of life support. Are you ready, Jeb? You will be away for quite a while ^^ Woohoo, interplanetary space! I hope this insane mission wont go wrong.
  16. Another Titan 3E on the pad today! Destination: Moon // Payload: Science Rover Lift off! Capture burn at the moon: After the landing I separated the Rover: There it is! The rover will drive to the next crewed landing place in order to pick them up, so they can drive around
  17. Yeah, @DrLicor is right. I usually dont provide them due to highly complex installs with lots of mods. Nevertheless you guys here are always allowed to ask me for craft files or which mod adds a specific part. But it is NOT my turn to help you with missing mods, problems with your installation or broken saves.
  18. Here we go! My RP0 launch vehicles - part two: Part one on page 11 ---> "Titan" Series: (A Titan 3E launches the Voyager 1 probe) Titan 23G: Titan 3A Titan 3B Titan 3C Titan 3D Titan 3E Titan 34D Titan 4A Titan 4B ---> "Saturn" Series: (A Saturn V MLV lifts the 200 ton Venus station into orbit) Saturn I Saturn IB Saturn IC Saturn V Saturn C-8 Saturn V MLV
  19. Sounds interesting, but I decided that I wont build a new rocket for this series. BTW, I will release part two of my RP0 launch vehicles soon.
  20. I sent two lander probes to the Moon. Both were launched on a Titan 3E rocket. The first one went to the south pole,..... and the second one landed on the north pole.
  21. When I did such a contract, I always launched the base in one connected piece because I knew that it works this way.
  22. Today I did a routine Moon Landing Mission: Descent with Earth rise in the background: One day later: Ascent & return burn: Reentry & Landing: Actually I forgot to plant the flag , but luckily this was not part of the contract
