Perfect, thank you! One last thing I need to know, what is the mass (dry & wet) and the size of its tank, because I dont have such a tank, so I will build one with procedural parts.

I landed on Phobos.....again. Looks pretty cool! Could you give me more details about the space plane?

I opened my sandbox save again in order to build a better MK1 space shuttle for my RO/RP0 career. This new version has even a cargo bay for ultra tiny satellites. The engines are still the same as before (main engine: J-2 // orbital maneuver system: 2 x FASA Gemini Lander engine) But I had the same problems as before. The shuttle is not aerodynamic, burns up in the atmosphere and flies like a brick through the air.

1) I would like a tiny asteroid around Kerbol in a highly eccentric and inclined orbit (periapsis at Duna's orbit // apoapsis way beyond Jool // inclination 25 deg). So basically the counterpart of Sedna in our system. 2) Make Jool & Kerbol a little bigger. 3) Add more moons to Jool & make Laythe a little more icy. 4) Add a new planet (maybe even instead of Dres) which is tidally locked relative to Kerbol, so that is is half water, half ice. 5) Add more surface features (caves for example)

I developed a new moon lander for two Kerbals Ascent module: ~3.5 tons, 1800m/s deltaV // descent module:~ 9 tons, 2700m/s deltaV (I dont remember the exact mass values) It is powered by 4 x FASA Gemini Lander Engines (13kN each) I think i will perform manned tests soon.

How to change tech tree positions in RP0?
Julien Kerman replied to Julien Kerman's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
RP0 means Realistic Progression Zero, it is a mod which you have to use in order to get a real life based career mode for the Realism Overhaul mod. It changes the entire tech tree, some parts are configured and have the right position, some are not configured (nonRP0) and have a random position which does not fit. -
How to change tech tree positions in RP0?
Julien Kerman replied to Julien Kerman's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Well this does not work. RP0 changes all the old tree nodes from the stock game. I can change the configs in whatever I want, the part ends up being "nonRP0" and has a random tree position. I guess somewhere in the KSP folder must be a list, which says (for example): the RS-68A engine is in the "Advanced HydroLox engines" node, the RD-180 engine is in the "Mature staged combustion" node and so on. And it seems to work only with the registered parts. -
So I have a lot of parts which are "nonRP0" and have the wrong tech tree position. This is annoying and I would like to change that. Do you know if / how this is possible?

totm nov 2023 SpaceX Discussion Thread
Julien Kerman replied to Skylon's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Last year they presented us this: It was this insanely large rocket, 12m in diameter, 122m tall, 42 Raptor engines in the first stage and 3 times heavier than the Saturn V. My question was if they cancelled this in order to build the smaller BFR vehicle. -

So no Interplanetary Transport System ? -
Today I wanted to fulfill the "Crew record of 4 on the same vessel" contract. First, I launched the tiny docking adapter: This is my smallest launch vehicle for payloads between 500kg and 1600kg. Then came the Apollo CSM. I launched it on an upgraded Saturn IB, (now called Saturn IC), which features an entirely new first stage and an engine upgrade on the second stage. Intercept of both modules: The Apollo CSM can get only 3 Kerbals into LEO, so I used a second rocket for Kerbal number 4. This rocket and its spacecraft are actually retired and out of order, but they were the cheapest solution Approach of both command modules: Done!

Each module has at least 2 RTG's, and the rest of the solar panels (2 big ones on the science lab, 2 on the docking arm and another 4 on the old station core) are actually powerful enough because most of the time there is no crew on board, so only the procedural avionics units need energy. I also have a station in orbit around the moon since two years, but I never sent a crew to it.
-
I absolutely dont know. I did everything manually.
-
Some final adjustments for the Venus station aerobreak: I did not knew the best aerobreak altitude, so I had to try, reload, try again and so on (this is why the periapsis on the following screenshot is not correct) In the end, the final periapsis was 90km. After some adjustments, I was quite happy. 475km x 2300km is good enough. The Station is in orbit now, the crew will leave Earth in around 400 days at the next transfer window.
-
So I have my space station in LEO and the Venus station is also orbiting Venus right now. I did 5 manned moon landings and uncrewed landings on the Moon, Mars, Phobos, and Venus. I did a crewed sun flyby, and probe flybys of all galilean moons, (each one twice), Saturn, Titan, Mercury and probes are on their way to fly by Uranus and Neptune. Orbiters for Saturn & Uranus are also on their way. At the moment, I have a Landerprobe for Callisto under development. Also; the crew for the Venus station will launch at the next Venus window (T- ~400 days)
-
Sure it is! I recommend looking through my previous forum posts, where I explained everything and gave a lot of details about the entire mission. Currently, it is 1985 (my aim was to do a crewed Venus mission until the end of the 80's). Can you ask about the arvievements more specifically?
-
I did some fine tuning with the trajectory of the Venus Station, which will arrive in about 54 days. I also took this screenshot with my Galileo Probe which is still orbiting Jupiter: It shows all four galilean moons and all 4 inner planets. Saturn was also visible, but could not fit on the picture anymore

I was playing around with @Thrimm's Interplanetary Transport System in Realism Overhaul Lift-off!! Of course the launch pad broke ^^ 42 Raptor engines, so that means only 6 FPS during ascent Stage separation! There goes the huge first stage. Orbit archived! Maybe I will add the mod to my RP0 playthrough.

[1.7.2] KK Launchers - Delta, Atlas Pack
Julien Kerman replied to Kartoffelkuchen's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Unzip the file into your Kerbal Space Program/GameData folder. Make sure to do the same with the required mods -
I launched a Probe to the Uranus system, which will arrive in 15 years.... .....entered into orbit around Phobos and landed there with a probe which was not supposed to do this..... ...... and I had some fun with rovers.
-
Today I sent the Venus Station to its destination Ignition ! All 4 RD-0210 engines burned for 6 minutes. Then I finished the burn with the RCS.
-
And again some tanker missions.... But then finally.... The Venus Station is now fully fueled and ready for departure in T-35 days

Just look at my "what did you do today" forum posts Also, you can always ask me
