KSP2 Release Notes

I think it'd be an excellent addition! Imagine detecting a new star system and getting a mission to travel there. The briefing is strange, and mentions that they haven't seen a star at the center. You go to it, and find a black hole! If the career mode has a science points system I can see discovering a black hole being worth tons.

I barely ever leave atmosphere in KSP 1, so I'm betting I'll get the most out of the new graphics. The colonization might finally give me reason enough to finally learn (Kerbal universe) orbital mechanics and see what I can do with planes on more planets!

KSP 2 Multiplayer Discussion Thread
Kernel Kraken replied to Johnster_Space_Program's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
I personally can't wait for multiplayer. There's a small game a few guys have been playing in a group DM, passing around altered save files to simulate troop engagements and such. I feel like things like that could be a lot more widespread and a lot simpler to run if the game had multiplayer.- 1,629 replies

No procedural wings = no buy. Simple.
Kernel Kraken replied to Vegatoxi's topic in Prelaunch KSP2 Discussion
I firmly believe the original KSP has been kept alive mainly because of the incredibly dedicated modding community. I guarantee you, if procedural wings aren't a native feature of KSP 2, it will be a mod within a month of release. That is, if mods are still supported. Personally, I've only left Kerbin's atmosphere fewer than 50 times and most of those were on accident during my airplane tests. I spent the vast majority of my 250 hours in atmosphere. -
I was doing my twice-daily rewatch of the KSP 2 reveal trailer, and I saw a bunch of people criticizing T2 for killing a studio called "Star Theory". I haven't heard of this, despite still lurking here from time to time. Can anyone explain the situation or provide some links where I can read up on it?

I might be wrong, but did you just ctrl+c ctrl+v this page from the wiki? EDIT: Read the bottom of the post, but why was posting this really necessary?

[Stock] 30 sec Altitude Challenge!
Kernel Kraken replied to Mars90000000's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Yeah, why not. I'll have it written up and posted by tomorrow evening. EDIT: Missed the yesterday evening deadline, PC died and I don't want to screw up with mobile formatting. I've started a policy of taking a break all Saturday to stave off the school- induce panic attacks so I'll have time to write up and publish the challenge then. -
[Stock] 30 sec Altitude Challenge!
Kernel Kraken replied to Mars90000000's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
I might reboot this if anyone else doesn't want to. With a whole lot of glitches patched, a lot of new ones, and more parts then ever, I think it deserves one. @Mars90000000 -
I bet Dres wants to get rid of you because you're so mean to it
-
Well, how do you think Dres feels about you?

Do you guys think the Radeon R5 3600 (overclocked to 4.2 ghz) would bottleneck a RTX 3070? Well, if KSP 2 does support multi-core, it'll make a big difference. You can split up tasks among the different cores to get things done faster, that's why they do that instead of just having one monstrous core.

I came back to this mod to see if it was still active because it's what really got me into the KSP community. Sucks to see it hasn't been updated in a while. Hope @harpwner is doing fine.

Unofficial Rule: If you want to get rep quickly because you like seeing numbers next to your name go up, make references to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

No, not a planet. But I feel like we should choose a kinder term than "Dwarf Planet", as Pluto deserves a majestic classification like the king of the Dead he is.

Improve and Help Advance The Space Program
Kernel Kraken replied to planet-creations's topic in Forum Games!
Oh, I forgot about this thread. Yeah, I posted that when I was on my stupid trip of "Haha plUtO Is A ReAl PlAnEt". I've since realized that if the guys who literally made the definition of "planet" say something isn't a planet, it might not be a planet. But Ceres? IMO, If it has enough gravity to be pulled into a sphere, it should be a planet, or at least a dwarf planet. -
Has anyone else been getting Captchas between pages? It seems like every 5-6 times I load a new page here I get a Captcha.
-
Hehe, But in all seriousness, you have a point. Modders make no money off of their mods, save the few who have Patreon links on their pages. They're putting tons of time and work into making KSP, and I think they deserve more praise. You're absolutely right.

Yeah I get that it's due to the game often being a buggy mess and all but big squid is funny.

I told it I was John Denver living in West Virginia, it still worked. Also, @sevenperforce, I've never been in a relationship before but I still know something like that's gotta suck. I hope you're trying your hardest to be with your kids and keep yours and their hopes up. Good luck with whatever may be coming down the road.

Banned for having a rep count that's a multiple of 6.

What music do you listen to while playing KSP?
Kernel Kraken replied to Scenter102's topic in KSP1 Discussion
It's a perfect combo, KSP and Metallica. You can listen to Thrash Metal while the Kraken is thrashing your ship into a million pieces!
