Yes you're paying to do the mission but getting science and reputation in exchange. In career games I find that it's easier to get Funds than Science or Reputation (depending on your mods and settings), so this seems a fair exchange to me. -

So with this mission you are paying the 18k funds to start it, if you fail you get the 18k back but lose reputation, but if you complete the mission you get science and reputation as your reward. -

Definitely works for me and I've been playing a game on 1.8.1 with it included. -
Although I get a warning when I boot up into KSP 1.8.1 that this mod isn't compatible with 1.8.1, it does seem to be working fine as I have been using it regularly.

Yeah I was only using it so I don't forget to do auto struts! It's not essential and I think that was what was causing my rockets to spawn on the launchpad already broken, but it was odd that it only started doing it once I put Re Stock (and Re Stock Plus) into my game and started anew. On a side note, 1.8.X seems to have dramatically improved KSP's performance and stability as I'm now able to play games on my old potato laptop, have mods in and it doesn't take (too) long to load on it's old HDD and doesn't look like a slideshow either lol! Plus side being I can now play a game with the full Nertea suite of mods! I'm tempted to put JNSQ on there (as stock scale just isn't fun anymore after playing that) but it may explode... I preferred the earlier tiny SRBs than the stock ones that were added in 1.8.X (as they come in too late and are too low powered to be effective for anything) so I've undepreciated them in my game! -

I was running KJR 3.5.0 (https://github.com/KSP-RO/Kerbal-Joint-Reinforcement-Continued/releases/tag/v3.5.0) on 1.8.1 before I had I Restock and I couldn't remember it happening before, so possibly a bad reaction of the two? I haven't tested it enough since removing it to see if that's definitely the issue though. -

Weirdly enough same thing had been happening to me on my 1.8.1 save (my potato laptop won't run JNSQ so it's a stock scale game for when I can't play on my desktop ). I assumed it was because I had KJR running on it and I took it out of the mod list, hasn't happened again since so possibly that is indeed the culprit? -
@RoboRay Do it, once you play in this scale (2.7x stock system size) you won't be able to go back to stock scale again. This is just scaled enough that stock parts will get you where you want to, but you'll need to be a bit more creative than usual...

So firstly, no this has not been forgotten, the current maintainer just happens to maintain every other mod for this game and has been busy updating mods that need to be recompile for 1.8.X, whereas this contract pack does not. Secondly, have you got another station (or craft classified as a station) in orbit around Kerbin (or whatever planet is your homeworld)? And have you only orbited the homeworld or have you orbited any other planets/moons? -

This is a great thread, but I'm a little confused as to who is 'winning' the space race. I'm assuming it's Not Manley @Gordon Fecyk?

Well I can certainly see both points of view with regards to TweakScale being 'cheating', and as Lisias said it is better just to decide which mods you want and don't want to have in your game. Personally I use TweakScale very conservatively, essentially just to plug the gaps of missing parts I feel should be in the game but are not currently. I could just as easilly write a MM patch to put these parts into the game, but TweakScale works much better for this! Keep up the good work @Lisias!

CTT works in 1.8, and this mod worked in 1.7.3. -
Will you be featuring a bistromathics drive in one of your future vessels? Good stuff though, keeping up!

Until this is updated to 1.8 I'm happy to stay on 1.7.3. After playing this I can't play stock scale anymore, it really highlights how OP the engines are.

Fairly, I build a massive base in the VAB, break it into pieces and put wheels on them (and a probe core to control said pieces, pretty sure it's part of this mod) and then build the pieces at the base using stakes. Then wheel them to where they need to go and connect. Then take the wheels and probe cores off and recycle! -

I usually incorporate Extraplanetary Launchpads and build my base in stages on the surface. Can take longer but somewhat more satisfying, having to mine and process resources to get what you need. -
Well the fact that the system has been scaled up kind of implies this. It's the same solar system (but with some cool new features and a few extra celestial bodies) just scaled up, therefore the time it takes for Kerbin to orbit the sun is scaled up accordingly.
