I had fun with flying and landing SpaceX rockets with @damonvv's great Tundra Exploration mod. A few screenshots below: Here a Block 4 launches a Dragon capsule. A better daylight shot. I didn't get any screenshots of landing the first stage, but the purpose-built parts in this mod make it much easier to get fuel levels right. And the Dragon capsule returns safely, if 'sliding down a mountain and destroying the heatshield before coming to a stop' counts as a safe return

Just installed this mod! Looks great. I can't wait to try it New query: I know that you need Near Future Solar for the BFR solar panels but would it work if I was to copy the file of the BFR panels from that mod into this mod, so I don't have to have a bunch of parts I don't need sitting in Gamedata?

Yes, I noticed the new sounds in 1.4.4 too. Not sure I prefer the RCS sounds to the old version but the engines have a more bassey rumble. Oh and BTW it's not really T2 who decide what stuff is added to the game. They just own Squad and KSP, while Squad mostly handles the actual features.

How to make a stock propeller SSTO plane?

For the propellers, you'll need a separate craft held inside something like a service bay or fairing but free to spin. It'll need to have a bunch of reaction wheels and maybe RTGs (for electric charge generation) to keep spinning. I'd watch this video by Squiddy to get the basics of stock props. It's a bit old but the basics should still work. Tip: as shown in the video, you can detach your engine, then switch to it and hold down Alt-Q or Alt-E. This will set the trim on the propeller so it'll keep spinning without you having to babysit it. Once you get too high for the props to have any effect, you can switch to them and hit Alt-X to reset the trim. Then just continue to orbit on rocket power. -

Although it'd be very tiny, it would still have the same gravity as the Moon so if you just slow your orbital velocity around it enough you should hit it. I think.

Yeah, I have KRE, great mod!! I was just wondering as the screenshots of the Dragon 2 in this mod have SuperDraco engines. Are they just part of the pod's texture?
