  1. Well the main reason is that helicopters are damn hard to make. If you actually look up how the primary blades on a helicopter work you will see that not only do they spin, they also rotate in order to change their angle of attack. See the 2nd diagram in the link below, and try building that in KSP lol. Not really possible. https://mechstuff.com/how-helicopters-work-turn-fly/
  2. No one knows the answer. It could be one or more of the following: Taken from outdated builds Taken from current dev builds with no mind paid to the current settings Performance issues required scaling things back The devs are running 8K displays and as a result don’t see jaggies at all on their end so they forgot they existed. Purposefully sandbagging us Graphical features are still being worked on and don’t exist in the builds those came from. etc.
  3. Yes thank you. That is what I was attempting to explain in my edit but failing. Now to be completely accurate while gravity doesn’t rotate the ship itself it does rotate the ships vector (I think, correct me if I am wrong here.) which is perhaps what was originally intended but misinterpreted or misunderstood.
  4. EDIT: I get the difference but I am trouble finding the words to explain the difference between that and what I was referring to originally.
  5. Hah ya I hope so too. That would be pretty cool. Given the delays though and having to go EA I don’t think that is very likely at all, but we shall see.
  6. If the screenshots aren’t being posted to Steam, Epic or other sales platforms then the quality doesn’t really matter. This is why I was harping on them about not even turning AA on for those screenshots that are uploaded to Steam. If they want to post screenshots in the discord or these forums with things not looking the best then while I may not like it, it really doesn’t matter since the vast majority of new people won’t see them in those places. However new people WILL see them on Steam/Epic and it makes sense to make them look as good as possible on there.
  7. Pretty sure that is not correct. It is the drag that causes it to rotate on an atmospheric body. Try a gravity turn on a vacuum body like the Mun without touching the controls, and disabling SAS, and you won’t rotate at all.
  8. As far as I recall that hasn't ever been mentioned. However I do believe they are moving away from the “tree” structure that the vehicles in KSP1 are built around. If that is true then technically this should be possible, although it may still not be do-able for other technical reasons.
  9. I’m just going to roll my eyes at that last statement. Every genre in existence is over saturated if that one is. Just sounds like you are making excuses for some reason. Don’t know what happened but okay.
  10. Feel free to use this: https://ficsit.app/mod/5yGWmmB8KL2Zq8
  11. I have played Satisfactory, Factorio, and Dyson Sphere Program and you are exaggerating ridiculously. A game that is fully 3D is obviously going to have challenges that a game that is either 2D or quasi-2D don't have to deal with. Saying they prioritize graphics over game play when there is quite clearly different technical challenges as a result of adding an extra dimension frankly just makes you look salty.
  12. I have to say over the past week the content being released has increased drastically in terms of quality. Anti-aliasing turned on, significantly better frame rates (the post above with the bay doors has a high frame rate version in the Discord BTW), better showcasing of existing features, etc. Just wanted to say it is appreciated and keep doing what you are doing in that regard.
  13. That is just a convention. You can use whatever variables you want technically as long as everything is defined. EDIT: In this case though I think the equation was supposed to represent impulse, although it would need a time interval for that. I can't tell what those circled things are.
  14. Yes, this. I couldn't put this into words earlier but this is exactly what I was feeling now that I read it from you.
  15. I particularly like the sound effects they used there. Definitely gives the feeling of a massive piece of metal being moved.
  16. Just an FYI that notifications were once again broken on this, despite following this forum.
  17. I think you used the wrong word here. Burning retrograde for most your launch would definitely not achieve orbit. I assume you mean retrograde with respect to the planets rotation?
  18. Personally I didn’t find that an issue at all. Of course it depends entirely on what you are using for speakers, headsets, etc.
  19. Uh why would them showing a video of a tutorial in their office stop a streamer from playing it at their own location?
  20. A preview of a streamer playing through the tutorial.
  21. The gigantic letters orbiting in the background?
