    He probably forgot about it. Maybe the C4 blocks arent powerful enough to cause an explosion in the first stage, just those in the second stage.

    I deploy gridfins before enabling boostback burn. Works extremely well for the Superheavy, aka 6m of inaccuracy, but not so accurate for falcon 9

    Try deploying gridfins before using mechjeb. This may help. And did you mount your gridfins upside down?

    We will need the .cfg of your part to see what is wrong. I usually do it by making the part generate bullets from ore and electricity. like the Convert-o-tron And customize the bullet as you wish. refer to the bdac files for self-learning.

    I stage at 1 min 30s, use mechjeb land at target to land. Use B to deploy gridfins.

    It keeps fluids in the body, aka blood, at the heads of the pilot so they dont pass out, I beleive.
