Progress on the ManeuverPlanner props by Mirage < 3 Changed the layout/behavior to reduce number of props. Added reset button. Changed everything to retro push buttons, so it integrates well in retro IVAs. Next is making the time display in ydhms, instead of s, and later maybe integrating this on a custom page of the ASET DSKY, so you won't need the 4 displays anymore...! On my side, currently working on making those custom CRT work outisde of Warbird cockpits... -

I've been said by Jonny that sadly, the switches might be too small for VR. Meaning you would flip mulitple of them at the same time, since your KerbalVR fingers are too big ^^ He told me so when I was almost done, so we'll see, maybe I'll make a simpler variant of this, with bigger props for VR, but take this info with a good rock of salt haha -
Retro NASA style Probe Control Room IVA Hi, I've been working on a complete remake of the PCR IVA interior, by giving it a retro style flavour, for the early days a Kerbal space exploration, when we didn't access to all those fancy MFD screens and such... - Current todo : - Better KOS/KPM page, this one is just copied for KPM, and isn't done yet - CRTs big selector knobs : make them not slaved between each other if possible - Try to fix ASET solar panel deployed Alarm indicator - Refine Interior decorations - 1.0 release ? - Investigate RPM Ext cam wankyness - Poke at Vulkan's work on "MAS-sifying" PCRIVAPLUS and maybe incorporate his work if he's willing to contribute ! Or try to do the same later (ASET to MAS patchs/etc) - later : make a high tech version of PCR IVA, with fancy screens, MFD, etc. The same taste as KSA IVA upgrades, but more advanced. - For that, figure out why I can't get MAS to work in PCR : MAS not working properly with Probe Control Room · Issue #372 · MOARdV/AvionicsSystems (github.com) Dependencies : - Module Manager - ASET consolidated Props and avionics - RasterPropMonitor - Probe Control Room Optional but recommended mods : - MirageProps (WIP) : by @MirageDev and me (a tiny bit^^) : adds props to allow maneuver creation from IVA with RPM ! - NearFutureIVAProps : Adds a lot of decorative elements : - TDProps : A few more decorative elements : - KOSPropMonitor : Adds KPM pages integration to the CRTs. Ep. 3 - Failures, scanning & first Mun flyby First catastrophic failures due to a flight director error (me lol), more engine failures, first kerbin scientific satellite, showcase of the MirageDev's Maneuver props in action (still WIP), and the first live images from the Mun, as we flyby it : ) This involved some interesting challenges, as how to align my solar panels properly to the Sun, a transfer to the Mun in IVA. Also guessing the correct orientation for the spacecraft, and the camera, to get images from the Mun, and see it coming live on the displays was quite satisfying ! (I'm also working on making the first steps towards a first WIP release of the retro PCR IVA) -
Today, I continued my IVA career, here's the result ! First catastrophic failures due to a flight director error (me lol), more engine failures, first kerbin scientific satellite, showcase of the MirageDev's Maneuver props in action (still WIP), and the first live images from the Mun, as we flyby it. I also improved the Mission Control interior with more props, refining. The first WIP release should be out soon. : ) Cheers

Today, I did in KSP what felt important for me today, as a musician and space enjoyer, on this 16th of december... Because today is an anniversary ! Of the first concert broadcasted live from space, 58 years ago ! Those Gemini (VI and VII) astronauts were quite good at historic firsts... They played a prank on Houston by describing Santa Claus' sleigh going in a polar orbit, played the first ever concert in duet, broadcasted live from space, oh, and yeah, they also executed the first ever manned rendez-vous between two spacecrafts... Wally Schirra and Tom Stafford played Jingle Bells, on a little harmonica and a handful of bells, in duet ! Happy anniversary !

On their Holidays, Kerbals usually like to go on the space-sofa, grab a tacos, one or two fresh beers, and admire the absolute glory of deep space, while casually discussing about the latest Jebediah Kerman's rocket crash, the Minmus Dust's new Ice Cream flavor, or telling each other some ancient Deep Space Kraken scary tales... (sorry couldn't get the "interstellar dream" text out : P) Cheers, and thank you for that giveaway event !

Hi, This video tutorial will cover how to do a manual ascent to rendez-vous, in IVA (from the cockpit) ! : ) This part can be quite tricky, and almost as hard as an IVA landing, when done right ! Eiffel tower, a bit ? nah ? Today, I did a tutorial on how to do a manual ascent to rendez-vous from a moon, while flying in IVA ! Your typical apollo style mission profile thing ! Pretty challenging, and almost as hard as landing in IVA, when done right ! Cheers : )

Hi ! I've been using your IVA for quite some time, amazing work ! Great attention to detail and aesthetics : ) I myself recently got into IVA prop editing (texturing/making assets is starting slow, but is new for me), and was wondering if your mod's license would allow other mod to redistribute your nice props, with full credits of course. : ) Thank you, and happy IVA-ing !- 12 replies

Today, I continued my IVA career, by putting the first Kerbal into orbit, even made him do a little spacewalk around ! Before that, I had to do some shenanigans dangerous plane contracts to train them for this first historic orbital mission... On the menu : Cheers !

I personally never experienced G-forces jumps in those situations (rover yes, but by player fault), but I bet it could happen yeah. So far I had no problems in testing, but if I or people do so, I'll of course tweak the value to be higher : )

Hi ! Because for Kerbals there's the deadly reentry mod which covers that already, but also adds realistic heat mechanics. So this is here to provide a light pluginless solution for the player to be careful about his atmo entry profiles : ) The value I dit set of 8g is specific to KSP keep in mind it's 1/10 scale of our solar system, so 8g on reentry means you most likely have a reentry profile that would be deadly in real life too.

Yeah it's planned, but it's not ready yet ! I need to tweak some things, like eventually actual wall monitor instead of absurdly scaling those CRTs ^^ Also figuring out how to organize props for a release, since I'm using quite a few assets from different mods. I'm quite busy until end of december, so I'd say early 2024 ! And welcome to the forum too ! -
Through the Eyes of a Kerbal KSP IVA career mode I love flying in IVA in KSP, it gives it a completly different experience, especially with mods like FreeIVA, awesome IVA mods available out there. So I started a new career, where I attempt to fly missions only from the cockpits and the mission control room, for unmmaned spacecraft. This will be mostly done in a video format (the serie style is new to me, so don't hesitate to provide feedback ) So let's bang our Kerbal head against all those knobs and switches shall we ? : P - Link to a WIP version of this retro-NASA-styled Probe Control Room IVA, used in this serie : - Modlist (will evolve eventually) : - Chapters : Godspeed ! Today, I started having fun modifying the Probe Control Room IVA, to give it a retro style, as If it was the early days of the Kerbal Space Agency ! Everything's functional to allow only flying from IVA. : ) The flight director deck is done, polishing left only, and the docking section layed out, only the landing desk to do ! Can't wait to try it out ! Oh and In case you didn't know, it had freeIVA configs, meaning your kerbal can leave his seat and walk around while pushing buttons hehe Below, Gene Kerman himself wondering what next button he'll press... : P For reference, this is how the IVA I started from looks like (KSA version) Later, I'd also like making a modern/ near-future version of this, with mostly only interactive touch screens everywhere, but we'll see ^^ Cheeers!

Today, I made and released a small mod but with somewhat impactful changes ! I was bored of reentries being too easy regarding G-forces, so I created a few configs, which lowers the max G-forces limits on crewed parts to more realistic values, to 8g for stock (12g for RSS). If the G-forces go above that, the spacecraft will disassemble itself in an explosive and deadly fashion. (Space)planes parts were graced with 25g max, to allow jet-like planes to still be flown. This will make you be more careful about your reentry profiles, and flying in general ! The value of 12g max was taken from the apollo spacecraft, also you could think 8g isn't a lot for manned capsules in stock, but trust, you really have to push it to get to that point. Careful with reentries from the Mun, direct atmospheric braking on Duna/Eve, etc... It's in the same taste as Deadly Reentry (which goes well with this mod btw), but covers another topic. Of course, parts G forces limits must be enabled in the difficulty settings for all this to work Cheers ! Example video :

Hi, I'm currently trying to make a MAS retro style Mission Control IVA, but have this little problem : When I add the squared MAS MFD (left one on the pic), the buttons to switch between pages don't work properly, they do a click sound, but the page doesn't change. But If I click, say the RSCR page, then switch vessel or change scene and come back, then the page has switched to the correct page I asked. The probe part of course has a MASflightcomputer module added. In other crafts using those MFD (like SABS IVA), they work without any problem. Any idea what causes that ?
